Shree Erg
Shree warms up on the Erg

Today's classes are at 10am, 11am and 12pm

The CRASH B's are fast approaching.  Remember that Coach Nick has provided supplemental Erg workouts to help build capacity on the rower. Check them out here.

Our last day at the Brooklyn Lyceum is Sunday, January 10th.  Our Degraw Street location is near completion and awaiting its final inspection.  If all goes well, we are expected to be in our new home mid January.  A worst case scenario would put us reopening on February 1st after a 20 day black out period. Should that occur, we'll freeze everyone's accounts and provide at home workouts and some opportunities for everyone to get together and train.  Thank you so much to all our members for their patience during this transition.  We're all very excited to offer a significant upgrade in our program once we get into our new space.

Our last day is Sunday the 10th.  Would anyone be available to help move equipment over that afternoon/evening???

All those interested in participating should attend the kickoff meeting on Sunday, January 10 at 1pm where Coach Margie will discuss the "rules of engagement," help set personal goals, offer advice and (optional) take body measurements.

Thank You
2009 has truly been a transformative year for CrossFit South Brooklyn.  Thanks to our unique community of coaches, athletes and friends, we've managed to substantially increase our member base while maintaining the spirit and integrity of our community and training.  As we move into a new home and continue to expand what we offer and who we are, 2010 will represent a major shift in our history.  This transition will, no doubt, come with challenges,  but given the team we have put together, there’s no doubt that the new year will yield an even stronger community, more fitness and most of all a whole lot more fun.

If you're training for health, fitness and longevity, Quality of Movement should be your highest priority.  The deleterious effects of regular poor movement far outweigh the benefits of attempting maximal work output or moving as large a load as possible.  When defining why you train, consider a lifelong perspective and remember that the human body is a beautiful, complicated machine which either adapts or reacts to all the stresses imposed upon it. Train hard, Train smart.

What are you long term training goals? What would you like to be doing in 10 years, in 20?
