Oh no! I just remembered that I left my wadded up “WOD and Done” wraps under my pullup station after 19.5. I’ll buy a coffee or a pastry for whoever (Cam?) cleaned up after me. I’m so embarrassed. SORRY!!!!

1:00pm doing 19.5 as an unregistered Open athlete.

Finished 11 CTB into the round of 15, but I pretty much gave up on this one 5 CTB into the round of 21 when I tore my hand open and generally felt that enough fitness had been accomplished for the day. Brett says I make a face when I don’t want to do something and I’m pretty sure I had that face on at the 11 minute mark.

On a positive note, I was really happy with how the thrusters went (a movement which I usually struggle with) and my pacing on the rounds of 33 and 27. I did sets of 5 on the thrusters throughout the workout and they felt really strong (strong enough where I was able to go10-5 in the round of 15) and 3 on the CTB until the round of 21 where I was forced to go to singles and doubles (even tried a few mixed grip pullups which were…..not good). In retrospect, I think I would have done better with larger sets on the CTB to start – 5s or even 7’s as I do better on these once I get into a rhythm and am able to focus on the release on the way down to save my hands. Good to know for next time I do this workout which will be never.

I think if you have a good strategy and enough mental fortitude this workout can for sure be completed by an ordinary human under the time cap.
