Today is a scheduled rest/recovery day, but don’t worry! We are open and running on our normal schedule. In today’s CrossFit group classes, you’ll have the option of doing either yesterday or tomorrow’s programming, which can be found in the comments section of today’s post. This is our very last “rest day” for the foreseeable future. See below for more info!

Big Changes Ahead!
We have some exciting changes on the horizon here at CFSBK. Here’s what you can look forward to after the Open concludes:
- No more Rest Days! After some reflection and discussion, we have decided to move away from this long-standing tradition and offer 7 days of unique programming per week. To read more about the reasoning behind this change, check out our recent blog post, “The Death of the Rest Day.”
- Friday night group class! Starting March 29th we will be offering 5:30pm and 6:30pm CrossFit group class on Friday nights. We listened to your feedback, and this is one of the steps we are taking to better serve the CFSBK community and, most importantly, help you get your fitness on whenever you want.
- Earlier blog posts! This is a theme we saw a lot in your feedback, and we’re delivering. Starting next Monday, we’ll be posting the next day’s blog at 9pm. This means you’ll be able to see the workout before the clock strikes midnight.
- Finally a friendly reminder that Anti-Gravity classes have switched days and times. AG now meets Wednesdays at 5:30pm and Saturdays at 12:30pm.
With the exception of the last one, all of these changes will go into effect on March 25th. Thanks again for your feedback!

Saturday’s Programming
Open Workout 19.5
33-27-21-15-9 Reps for Time of:
95-lb. Thrusters
Chest-to-Bar Pull-Ups
Time cap: 20 minutes
Post time and Rx to comments.
Stella says
Well, THAT happened.
I don’t have C2B kipping pullups so I knew this would be about how long I could hold out doing strict chinups. I got 73 of them, for 154 reps total (13 chins into the round of 21). I felt like that was kind of an okay number when I thought of it in terms of rounds, and then I did the math and I was like “holy whoa, 73 chinups?”
I woke up this morning 45 minutes before my alarm stressing out about this workout (“how should I handle the thrusters?” “am I going to get past 33 chinups?”) and then I told myself to stop strategizing and just consider this a 20-minute conversational-pace workout, even if that meant missing out on reps by not going more aggressively. Basically, I reminded myself to be aggressively chill.
I’m already stressed out about the crossword tournament (which starts tomorrow), and my standing vs the rest of the world in that is WAY higher than in CrossFit, so I reminded myself that there is absolutely NO reason to add even a second’s worth of stress about the Open to that. It’s just exercise.
This mindset mostly worked except there is no such thing as conversational-pace thrusters. LOL, what was I thinking?

That is amazing. Truly.
Good luck with the crossword tournament!
Daniel R says
Holy moly Stella, that’s a ton of strict work, you’re amazingly strong. Kick some ass on that tournament!
KLove says
Wow! Beyond impressed!

10 AM with Whit tackling 19.5.
111 reps RX; my goal was 100; that’s 18 CTB in the round of 27.
Thrusters 6/6/6/5/5/5, then some combination of 5’s/4’s and 3’s that added up to 27.
CTB all singles. Ripped both hands.
I wish I had some deep insight about this workout and the open, but I want to nap instead.
