14.1 in the books at 211 reps. 4 rounds plus 30 DU plus 1 snatch. First round was unbroken then snatches went to 5-5-5 with very limited rest in between. Double unders were consistent throughout with just a few frustrating moments like when I stumbled at rep 29 in the third round.
Good luck today everyone!

When submitting scores do we put down David Osorio as the judge?

14.1 out on Long Island.
5 rounds and 11 DUs for a 236 total. Best I've done on this workout by far in my three attempts. Couple rounds of unbroken doubles; broke the snatches up from the start to conserve gas.

Wow nice totals all… I was hoping to do a little better but for the last few weeks I swapped running for gym time, so I can't be too surprised the snatches gassed me. 200 reps even, doubles no problem but snatches at 5×3, 5-4-3-2-1, then 3×5 with rest between. This was pretty fun, pushed hard to get in more doubles in the last 30 seconds. I like workouts that finish with a hard push.
AR after, good times.

Luke: If your judge is also competing in the Open, use your actual judge's name. If not, then you can use DO or whoever was coaching your class (since I think all the coaches are competing).

My grandmother is ill and hence I needed to return to Maine unexpectedly. So did 14.1 this morning at CrossFit Beacon. I've been having some significant issues with plantar fasciitis, so double-unders were a slow go. Snatches went better — having Annie Michel, the 2012 Masters Division Silver Medalist (http://crossfitbeacon.com/coach-annie-2012-games-silver-medalist/) coach me helped a ton!! Fun time — I like visiting Beacon on my visits. Total score 104.

Stella – Thanks for the help. Originally I was searching for my judges name, Alexander, under his full name and it wasn't coming up. I tried it as Alex and lo and behold there it was.
Posted my pitiful score of 129. I was hoping for at least 3 rounds but my double unders are a complete abortion so its not really surprising. The snatch felt pretty good but couldn't make up for all the lost time struggling through my doubles.

169 reps for 14.1 super sore from Thursdays workout but so happy my DU are coming together finallyyyyy! I was aiming for 2 complete rounds so super shocked I was 11 snatches away from 4 complete rounds!

Nancy, you killed it! So many strong ladies in the gym today. It was fun to watch you all!
Not exactly my finest performance at 115 reps, but I had a lot of fun and am happy I decided to participate. I was super nervous, so I'm just happy I got through more than one round and didn't barf on anyone. Thanks, Leslie Bolton, for being a super judge!

Love reading everyone's experiences about 14.1! Great pics and videos on Facebook and Instagram too! I wish so hard that I could do the open this year. I really wanted it as I've now been doing CF for a year. But hey, next year.
Good luck y'all!

14.1- 141 reps.
Thanks Jeremy for judging and shouting at me to get back on the bar when I really didn't want to.
I don't often feel like quitting halfway through a workout, but these are two movements I really need to work on and my shoulders got soooo tired and I kept asking myself why I was doing it. DUs are so frustrating for me- at the beginning I was stringing together more single-double-singles than I ever have but by the end I could only do one at time.
This was the very first time I have not counted attempts in a workout- that alone makes me happy I signed up because there is no way I would have bothered not counting attempts if this was just a regular workout.
I am also really happy to be able to write Rx after my name on the board.
Thanks Nancy for letting me borrow your rope! Congrats to all! There were some big, impressive numbers on that whiteboard.

14.1 – 300 reps even (6 rounds + 30 DU). Almost got another snatch in ,but didn't quite make it in time.
Fun WOD – I've done this at least 4 times now. The last few have been around this score. Pretty happy with it overall – might have been able to push myself a bit more on the snatches.

Fun 10am yoga class with 4 great dudes upstairs today, then a perfect AR class with David and crew. Great to do wrist voodoo floss before snatches.
14.1 : 260 reps rx'd
I was aiming to get somewhere between 5-6 rounds, so very happy with this! Truly, I was hoping to get as close to Lady Fox as possible. Great motivation to keep moving. Considering I was pretty darn sick for a full week and still have some nose/chest congestion, I'm really happy that I was able to push myself on this.
-All DU's unbroken. love those speed ropes. focused on keeping hands/forearms in perfect position and just breathing, keeping even pace. forearms were fried in last couple rounds.
-Snatches: 8-7, 5-5-5, 5-5-5, 5-5-5, then it got kinda ugly in round 5… maybe 3-2-5-3-2? Then 5 unbroken til time was up.
-I tried C&J for one rep since I kept losing the thumb of my hook grip on right side during the snatch, but C&J just seemed like a time suck.
-Didn't wear wrist wraps since weight was lighter and i don't want to depend on them all the time
-Thanks to the strong folks cheering and saying encouraging things from the sidelines!
Excited for the next 4 wks!

Loved being in the gym more than usual today and watching everyone work so hard. Seriously, I watched a lot of people work hard, because I stayed for over three hours.
Echoing Whit, I also was trying to get as close to Lady Fox as possible, and fell shy, obvs. But I wanted at least 5 rounds and got that. 224 reps Rxed. (Noah, sorry I can't count and led you to believe I got closer to her score.) Great AR class with David afterwards. Love this stuff so much. 🙂
Also, guys, February is finally over! Hallelujah!

don't forget, fish CSA in the gym tomorrow, 10:45-1:15!

9am for 14.1 After Thursday's wod, I knew the DU's were going to be a doozy. I watched some DU how-to videos before coming in and realized my hands were way out of position. I tried to focus on keeping the proper position throughout. It wasn't too bad for the first round, but really struggled in the second round. Finished with 114 reps, but think I am finally getting the hang of it and hope to see this workout again after I've had some more practice. It was fun to partner with Steph P and watch her crush it!

Couldn't remember going in to today's workout if I got 5 or 6 rounds flat the last time I did this workout. Today I got 261 reps, 9 snatches shy of 6 flat- leads me to believe it was 6 the last time since I remember being very stoked about it.
Doubles were a little sloppier than I wanted, but fairly smooth. Snatches felt ok, I got a lot of benefit from the MWOD cue to rest and reset at the top of each rep, which was Garret Fisher's strategy. Just rested too damn much, which is to be expected due to the hiccup in my training and my (alleged) distaste for conditioning.
Still a super fun day at the gym, I love the energy and intensity around the Open, and like that it pushes people into a bit of uncomfortable territory. I had a Foundations client today who seriously thought everyone in the gym was superhuman- she's not far off.
Great job all, on to the next!

14.1
When it was announced, I thought about how pathetic it was that Dubs and I were not friends. They don't like me. Even though I really, really want to like them. From my first introduction to them and even some counseling sessions with Tim Haft, we had a strained relationship. In fact, I kind of gave up on them. And then …14.1
Because of child care issues, I had to attempt 14.1 closer to home at my wife's box, CF Floyd Bennet Field. I thought that maybe in a different setting, around strangers, maybe Dubs would see me in a different light. I figured I'd say "Hi" once and see how that went. Then say "Hi" again. Heck, even 30 times. Then maybe spend a short time with Mr. Barbell and his little know twin buddies, #15 Plate and #15 Plate. They were much more friendlier, but I wanted to get back to Dubs since time was running out. We only got to chat 15 more times, but I think they are starting to like me. I'm planning on working on our relationship a few times a week. As Robert Frost said, "knowing how way leads on to way.." I'm sure we will cross paths again and I'd hope we can be on better terms.
Reading this on the main site just made me feel even better.
Thanks CrossFit
"It’s those who walk into the gym hoping to get one rep—and do, and then another and another—who keep us spellbound. They’ve gained a new skill, more confidence in their abilities and gotten fitter. We get to be inspired. That’s why the Open matters even if you don’t have double-unders … yet. You’ve been challenged to go get them, and get them you shall."
