oh my god that is the most precious thing i have ever seen.
i can't believe i helped to make her.
her mom is amazing.
it's 12:41.
mom has not slept much so i attempted soothing myla by myself while mom slept. did about 100 squats in different parts of the apartment, full sweat, then she did a huge fart and passed out. thank you crossift.
i am life's lover.
baz
OMG Baz. Congratulations and the best to all three of you.
Congrats Baz! She is beautiful.
Congratulations! that's good stuff right there!
Music – Summer's coming, time to break out the Peter Tosh
She is so amazingly beautiful. Congrats.
Baz was the happiest guy ever last night @6pm. She is a beauty, and thankfully, no beard!
Woke up with Aces High by Iron Maiden, very stuck in my head. Just sayin'. But my latest music obsession is Jack White. Genius.
Congrats! She is absolutely gorgeous.
Baz, congrats man glad everyone is doing well.
BAZ!
Khaver, a mega Mazel Tov to Nora and yourself! Myla is beautiful – you two are so lucky.
Much love to all three of you.
Samir
Er, Haver!
Congratulations Baz and Nora! What a beauty, enjoy your glorious babymoon.
Baz and Nora – congrats! She's beautiful!
Music obsession – The Transplants. One of our house-mates in PR introduced me and I'm hooked. Also, all of the doom metal on David's new post-Amsterdam playlist. Not the stuff on the Catchy Jamz playlist though 😉
QOTD:
I am emerging from several years' isolation in Latin music exclusively. Turns out there's a lot of stuff I missed.
I for one think that at some point we need to put on some Hector Lavoe, Tito Nieves, Oscar D'Leon, whatever Michele likes, and see some of her shines!
Welcome Myla! and congrats to Baz and Nora! What a cutie!
(we are still waiting over here… )
congrats to baz/nora and welcome myla

HERONDALE BEEF FRANKS FOR SALE
I need to sell my meat CSA beef franks – they are $6/package and frozen. I will bring them to the gym for you. Email me at mignyc (at) gmail dot com.
can i just say that as much as i love cfsbk, if the soundtrack at cfsbk starts to resemble the soundtrack at california strength, I am done.
congrats baz!
Yesterday my partner and I alternated rounds of 10 and finished in about 9 minutes. I went pretty much all out, but because of the recovery time I didn’t suffer very much. At the end, I was tired, but probably could have gone for another few rounds without substantially suffering or losing pace.
During Crossfit Open Workout 12.4, I finished 133 wall balls in 12 minutes, and was a broken man at the end. I did the first 50 largely unbroken, and then strung together as many as I could, which was generally around 5 or 6, while keeping the rest as short as I could manage, which was not very short.
Notice that in both workouts, I held almost exactly the same pace. During 12.4 I did 11 reps per minute, and yesterday I did 11 reps per minute (including my partner’s work time, but not his reps, obviously). Working with 100% recovery time between rounds of 10 reps was exactly as fast as working at what I thought was my best pace.
Corbett, I love Shuggie!
Congrats Baz and family. Nice work.
Music Obsession:
New Jack White. & some r&b called the weeknd. Yeah I said it. R&B
John – that is a great lesson right there.
Congrats Baz! The new-parent-WOD: 100 poopy diaper changes for time.
6am with Coach Lady Fox. Did Sunday's WOD:
1000m row
3 rounds of: 10 135# clean and jerks, 10 chest to bar pull-ups
800m run
19:59 Rx'd. I love to row and I love to run. But my stamina for cleans is terrible and I can't string together more than two c2b pull-ups in a WOD.
that bebe is absolutely gorgeous. congratulations!
um.. there's an accomplishments aka badass board? i know bday board and morning log wod board..
music obsession? nothing really at this time.. still jamming on my whole 70's80's punk hardcore stuff. buzzcocks, descendents, the first two clash records.. et al., make me skippy happy.
Congratulations to BAZ, Nora and Myla!
Does anyone want a bunch of free flattened moving boxes?? I need to get rid of them quickly, perhaps someone is moving or knows someone who is.
Email me at david AT CrossFitSouth..
Julie: It's the goals/accomplishments board, right under Yoda between the bathrooms.
I has been bad. I didn't put a goal up for April, I let my double under practice slip, and I am correspondingly crappy at them again. So my goal for May will be the same as my goal for March — practice those suckers every time I come in the gym, so 3x/week.
Yowza, that’s a cute baby there! Congratulations to you and your wife, Baz!
Congrats also to all the accomplishments!
I am sore from wall balls with Julie yesterday. We killed it.
Current album obsessions are Joy (Phish), Oh No (OK Go), When the Pawn (Fiona Apple), The Last Five Years (Jason Robert Brown).
Nice work Baz!
2 Box squats every thirty seconds for 12 rounds @ 55% of max–125#
200 Wallball partner wod w/ Chris J–we lost count at the end and may have done 220–9:10 (20, or 22, sets of 10)
I also hit a new pr this month–25 DUs.
Congrats to the Zimbler's! Myla is precious and I can't wait to meet her!
Thanks Stella! I had no idea that was there, more focused on peeing.
KH and I most definitely killed it – Team Morning dominates!
Congrats to everyone and their PRs!
Congrats Baz & Nora! Myla is beautiful.
Stella – my post didn't show up yesterday re: crossfits in Chicago. I've been to the 2 you mentioned. But, I'd actually recommend Windy City Crossfit if you can make it there. If not, I'd go with Crossfit Chicago. Have fun!
GUYS!
I got two of my May goals in one night tonight! First, I scored a goal during my soccer game. I think this was my first run-of-play league goal in about twenty years. Second, I successfully did a Kruyff and a step-over to beat defenders. Watch out this old goalkeeper has some moves!
I am so incredibly happy to be fit enough to play again. There aren't words for how much I love to play and I feel incredibly lucky to have found folks like at CFSBK to get back into shape with.
Came in today for 6PM class after a disastrous day diet wise.
Sunday's WOD @115lbs cleans (ditched the jerks as I had just pressed), and 10 strict chins.
Finished in 17:35. Many, many thanks to Jack for cheering me on.
Thanks Rickke! Windy City is a bit farther from where I'm staying than the other two, but it looks really easy to get to on public transit. I will give it a shot.
