Take 5-7 attempts to benchmark your standing broad jump
Partner Farmer Carry Around the Block
Pick something heavy carry it around the block with a partner. Alternate the weight whenever someone has to put it down. Each athlete performs 5 burpees every time the weight is put down. Go heavy.

Everything felt good last night, chins, repouts on presses and deads, and even the C2. Off to Pittsburgh to beat up some Penguin fans. See you this weekend.

6am with Coach Jess. Line drills and other fun warmup. Farmer carried two 2 pood kettlebells twice around the block with partner Mike. Broad jumped onto the leader board at 9'6". That's a nice way to start a day.
PS 100 banded good mornings produces serious hamstring soreness.

3×5 @ 195 and yes, i screamed, and it felt awesome. the lift and the scream.
Bench

I feel sort of wrecked today. I've been getting really jacked up at night after lifting the past 5 weeks, but last night I was wiped out and actually sleepy after our workout. I also had to force myself to eat. Slept late today and could probably go back to bed now. : )

Corbett is about to embark on the best month of Strength Cycle, where you lift like an animal, eat everything in sight, and then hibernate for 12 hours. Good times, and good effort last night to all the Strength people, seriously intensity on the platforms!

Utterly crushed this morning as I pulled Le Groin Muscle when doing the first round of lateral mini-runs inside. I think my mistake was "oo.. that felt weird" and not stopping as the second round was "holyshitow." Rest of class was spent hanging out with ice and attempting some stretches. Thanks Lady Fox, and coach Fox, umm Foxes for the advice. Totally jealous of the playtime 7amers had as everything looked so fun! Polar WOD was not.

Box Squats last night, worked up to 325 for a double and had more room. Felt better than expected. Piña coladas apparently might be a PED.

I was wondering if I'd done the good mornings incorrectly because my low back is pretty sore today. I feel it somewhat in my hammies, but low back much more. Was I perhaps rounding out too much?

Jules – check the lost and found bin next time you're in.
Stella – nope. It's a low back and hammie exercise. If you felt it more in your low back it could indicate a weakness there…it's why we'll be doing them!

Stella, just make sure if you do again it's big chest and really focus the bend at the hip.
It's much more hamstring burn.
