Tues AM class with David. Snatch-humble-ification. I was completely freaked by this movement after my shoulder injury last month, so I worked the complex at a dainty 25#. Then did 5×3 OHS at the same weight. Lots of external rotation practice. Mobility/stability, here we come.

Actually I have a question about “open gym” on Tuesdays. It is classes? Or it is open gym? I’ve shown up at 5:20 and felt like I was interrupting a regular group class doing Monday’s workout. Did I do wrong? Thanks!

Feel free to use Tuesday night as open gym, that’s what it’s there for. However I usually end up teaching the Monday class to some of the people that show up on Tuesday. So if you come at 5:20 it’s no big deal just check in and go do your thing. If you want to get instruction on the previous days lift, be there on the hour at 5 or 6 for a makeup class of sorts.

Tomorrows WOD killed me. Not even sure of time. Somewhere over 9 minutes, sacrilegious I know. Didn’t sound so bad. Maybe a tiring day.

got to the gym early tonight and worked some mobility drills on this achy left hip. then a really good active recovery class. found out that noah and I aren’t very good at headstands. 😉
Comp class:-warmup on the erg-learned a kipping dip: 1st set was max reps and I got a measly 5. then worked 3×3.WOD: 5 rounds for time of-5 weighted pullups 45/25-5/3 clapping pushups-10 boxjumps 30″/24″Time–5:38 scaled to regular pullups.-really tried to do a weighted kip but my kip is way too big to hold a dumbbell between my legs without hurting myself.-only the first round of clapping pushups were unbroken, the rest in singles.-boxjumps were at a steady pace, but the increased height left me unable to cycle them fast. Love working this height though and with practice, I know I can cycle them.
