I’m happy to host the spreadsheet that people were talking about yesterday.
I still hold hope that some bright Crossfitting hacker will write an open-source, customizable, app for tracking WODs.

I was looking forward to this amazing sausage stuffing that Chris’ mom makes…but I don’t think she’s making it this year. 🙁
I would also love the spreadsheet. I heard that Malcolm has a pretty amazing tracking system. jessicafox78 (at) gmail
Have contemplated about signing up for beyond the whiteboard several times but just haven’t gotten around to it.

Hey folks! Anyone have a good car mechanic they can recommend? Email me please. jmaldonado440(at)gmail.com

Google Docs can host a spreadsheet. Malcolm, if you are OK doing that I think your log is awesome.
@Samir: Nick is obsessing about this idea. Please help him.

PS: One member of our household will attend the 9am turkey WOD.

BSQ 175# x 20 still had a few more reps in me
12 MUs on the minute. Got the 1st 4 on my own then assisted for the last 8. I’m pleased.
Gonna cook 2 geese which I’m excited about. I imagine a Flemish still life. Also looking forward to alcoholic treats like bubbly and port.

Super fun super large 7am class today, but those sprints nearly killed me– I got 6, 7, 5 total. I didn’t suspect the rest to fly by as quickly as it did. I didn’t even begin to catch my breath as I heard David every time with “3… 2… aaaaargh!”
As I said to Ben Bierkraft, it felt like I had lit matches in my lungs. I’m still not sure I’m exactly back to normal.
I plan on coming to the Thursday 9am! And also maybe Will? But definitely me. I need a place to escape to while Will’s dad bakes like 14,000 loaves of brioche.
Other than that, I’m very much looking forward to this recipe I’ve got for shaved brussels sprouts with pancetta and lemon zest. (and pumpkin pie)
Fox says
Mom’s stuffing is pretty awesome… I’m looking forward to:-turkey thigh and gravy-napping-sitting on the couch and watching football with a non-paleo beverage

I’m looking forward to the 9am Turkey Day class! It’s a special WOD, so be there or be square!

double stuffed potato. Once a year and it’s awesome. Single malt scotch, probably Oban.

squatw/u: 45×5, 65×5, 85×5, 105×5, 125x2work: 132.5x5x5
definitely felt sucky not to have warmed up as much.active recovery has totally exploded my mobility toolbox and that stuff really makes a huge difference.
press
w/u 33×5, 38x5work 42.5x3x5
tweaking a few angles on the press has improved my performance a lot. hoping to see the fruits of this as the Total.

oh and for thanksgiving:
hard to pick a favorite, between the chemical paste we call Pillsbury pop n-roll biscuits, the microwaved vegetables, the spiral-cut ham swimming in sugar… so many memories.
I do love the white trash stuffing I grew up with, especially the next day, doused with real giblet gravy and cranberry sauce from a can.
I picked up some Udi’s gluten-free bread to make a special pan of stuffing for myself and whoever else wants. the stuff is completely indistinguishable from commercial white bread; still fulla carbs and other junk but at leastgluten free.
I am making a pumpkin mousse for dessert. it will be great.

@Charlotte: Will do!

Deer sausage made from scratch by my uncle in Xenia, OH.

coconut pumpkin custard!(basically, this — http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/24/dining/24Minirex.html?ref=dining — w/o the crust, sub pumpkin for sweet potatoes and take out most of the sugar. yum!)
much needed night at the gym. i skipped yesterday because my tris and shoulders were so beat up from sunday. good active recovery class tonight, especially the awful tri rolling.
then made up the cleans:1-5 @ 133#, 6-10 @143#, 11-15 @ 103#the first few in the middle set were way off but once i got my head wrapped around the weight, it was okay.

Got a head start on tomorrow’s squat work.
Warm-up 95×5, 135×5, 175×3, 205×2, 225x1Work – 200×20
This is starting to get hard. Had some trouble keeping my knees out as I got fatigued. Also some issues with my hip/glute/adductor area causing my left hip to drop before my right hip. Thanks Fox for the mobility work to help fix that.
Then muscle-ups on the minute for 12 minutes. Tried to do these without a false grip. It’s getting more natural. One miss when I tried to change my kip a little.
Happy Thanksginving everyone! See you all next week.

The last 5 years or so of Thanksgiving meals have been a little underwhelming.. we used to have dinner at my cousin’s extended family’s house which was always a traditional spread of home cooked goodness. I miss those days.
I don’t have one particular T-Gives food im looking forward to, I guess stuffing is good since this is the only time of year anyone seems to make it.
In college my roommate and I would drive to delaware to get these 1.5′ sandwiches called, “Bobbies”. They were shredded turkey, Cranberry Sauce, mayo and stuffing. I miss those.

Also- some folk’s asked where pt 1 of today’s video was.. im thinking this is pt 1:

Went to the Jewish Community Center with mom this morning and they have a kick ass gym. Friday I bring a swim suit–they have a lap pool!
Warmed up by jogging a .5 mile on the indoor track, did some drom stuff, air squats and hit the chin up bar:3 sets of 6 unassisted chins.
LBBS wu: 45, 95,135, 185 by 5 and 205x3Work: 225x5x3. Holy crap this felt heavy! I think all of dad’s martinis are getting to me. I meant to squat barefoot, forgot and this will definitely be the last time doing back squats in my Nike airs. Ever.
Hang power Clean: wu: 65×6 and 85×3. Went to put more weight on and my lower back was toast, moved to the bench.
Bench press: wu: 45, 85, 105, 125 x 5Work: 145x6x3
Only thing that felt right. Did 2 sets of 4 chins ups and called it a day. I sweated my ass off squatting, it was work. Hope Friday feels better, but this is a deload vaca week as I look to new PRs on Sunday back in Brooklynd.
Tonight The Mwod was a 20 minute walk and the hot tub– he’ll yeah the back appreciated that!
Looking forward to the 2003 Bordeaux and sweet potato on Thursday.

Backsquats 125×20. Fun watching everybody work after I was done and slothing about.
