My 2K was slower than my September Jerry’s 2K, but both my runs were considerably quicker, thanks to the presence of two wonderful pace-setters: JMD and Carlos. I chased JMD for the first mile, and Carlos for the second one. Thanks fellas.

Oddly Strong Workshop with Paulie. GREAT experience. The space is amazing and the class was excellent. I must say that kegs and I don’t get along well – my chin in particular is looking for vengeance.
Axel continental cleans: 110×2, 90×2, 100×2, 110×2, 120F, 120×2. I push-pressed it a few times too.
Keg clean and press: 45×1, 55×3, 75F,75F,75F,75!
Atlas stone clean to shoulder: 35×3, 75×3, 100F,100F,100×1.
WOD: AMRAP 5 minutes: 3x75lb atlas stone cleans, 160lb axel DL, 50lb keg clean&press. The goal was 5 rounds in 5 minutes, I managed 3 plus some number of reps. I think the hardest part for me was having the confidence to really jump the stone and keg up as I grew fatigued. I felt less certain that I could control the weight and so had to really will myself to even try.
Anyway it was a lovely afternoon.

Lots lots lots of fun with the crew at Quist. Pretty wobbly from my bday last night but still managed to move some of the heavy stuff around.
Really enjoyed the strongman stuff, definitely stresses some weird positions and muscling weight up over the high emphasis on accuracy when we do the oly lifts which I think works for me.
Got 3+ rounds on the AMRAP WOD with the 100 lb ball, 220 lb DL and 75 lb keg but definitely had to keep the pace kinda slow so as to prevent presenting last evenings food/drink to the assembled group.
Thanks a ton Paulie and Becca, it was awesome.
