good little class this morning.first time running since the foot issues in august–no problem!AMRAP 15 min: max 65# OH squats + 270 m run =30, 25, 27, 20, 22 = 124post-class, i decided to take the lockers home and bjorn gamely agreed to help. 800m locker farmers carry isn’t fun. thanks bjorn!
as to FGB strategy, I’m thinking SDHP and PP will be the easiest to get the most points, maybe 35 each round, then box jumps and wallballs in the mid-20s and the row at 20. it never seems worth it to go hard on the row because one calorie is too damn hard to earn.

Fancy running shoes were pushing me onto the balls of my feet during OHS. Took them off for the last round, including the run. Anyone want to buy a pair of fancy running shoes?
My strategy for FGB will mostly involve trying not to throw up until the end. How many points for getting it all in the bucket?

Subbed front squats, 65lbs.99 in five and a half rounds… it’s a lot easier to rest with the bar on your collarbone than holding it overhead. I’m just sayin’.
Wassup with Fight Gone Belated? I’ll be outta town on the 23rd, but would like to try and best my paltry 201 from last year.

I got the well-recommended, inexpensive IRON GYM from bloodbath+beyond so I could do pullups at home.
It doesn’t fit any doorframe in my apartment.
Before I take it back – if anybody wants it, it’s $30. Already assembled 🙂

Michele – if your door frames are too wide, they sell an extension for it. I had the same problem.

Forgot to write my reps down but I think it was 67 @ 57 pounds. I should have gone for 65 but was having trouble snatching it and wanted a snatchable weight. Took it easy on the runs and so far no foot pain, yay!
That lacrosse ball mobility work was crazy. I now have lacrosse ball-patterned bruises on my shoulders.

it appears as though the problem is that the doorway is actually… and this is hard to describe…. it’s too thick. so the bar doesn’t reach from the “hanging” side through to the “working” side.
i am trying not to interpret this as some kind of sign.

Today’s WOD – WARRIOR DASH!
Had a blast up there, ran in the noon wave today. The first mile and a half was completely uphill – and a ski hill at that. Exhausting! The obstacles weren’t too tough except the ice-cold water that we had to swim/wade through. My body shut down the moment I jumped in, and I had to stop for a couple of minutes and let me body acclimate to the temperature. I literally couldn’t breathe. Not sure why my body responded that way to the water, and I’m not sure how to train for it other than just jumping in cold water on a regular basis.
Anyway, it was so much fun, I’ll definitely be there next year, sorry I didn’t run into any other CFSBKers, but I did see a bunch of other crossfitters from across the tri-state area! Still waiting for my time to be posted, so I’m not sure how I did yet, but I feel pretty good about the whole day. Anyone else have an experiences about today’s race?
