We'd like to roll out some SBK athletic shorts and want to know what brand/cut you all recommend for the ladies version. They will be black with the Skull and Cross Bones logo on the front left thigh. Check out this picture for a better idea of what we're looking to print.
Joe says
Who wears short shorts? We wear short shorts!
Bjorn says
Those look like pretty short shorts…
Nino says
Can I make a polite recommendation for the guys’ version (assuming there is gonna be one)?
What about MMA-style board shorts? They allow for mobility while being a little more durable than regular athletic shorts. We roll around on the floor enough to make it worth it right?
ShawnS says
I agree with Nino, MMA style grappling shorts would be perfect–you can even find some shorter ones.
Unless we all want to go ahead and just get these Shogun Rua style shorts….

which are basically briefs.

Am sad to be missing the party — will see everyone on Monday. Good luck with Grace!

I would pay good money for a pair of CFSBK lululemon shorts!!
Bethany says
Like perhaps these? http://shop.lululemon.com/Knock_Out_Short/pd/c/580/np/580/p/1030.html

Grace 4:56 (95lbs)
Great seeing everyone. The space is really coming together
Vincent Dugan says
Grace 6:22 w 115#. Very disappointed. I had way too much energy after the WOD. I could have gone faster and/or heavier.
Tam says

Shaun M says
I really wish I was able to make it there today! Unfortunately it’s moving day. On the bright side I’ll be much closer to the box now!!

Bjorn says
Hooray for the new space! So nice to see everyone.
My first Grace 5:24 115#. Started slowly and felt pretty good throughout. Next time rx’d.
Anne Ishii says
My first Grace too. 4:04 at … 45#. Too little weight, too quick on the deadlift and pretty sure I did more than 30 (I forgot to start counting in the beginning and just started from 1 a few rounds in).Afterward felt like vomiting though, and I know it’s because I ate rice and drank a lot last night.
Tamson: BIG thanks for helping my handstand. Feel like I can do them all day now (I can’t but I like to “feel” these things).

ShawnS says
Awesome. Great to see everyone again.David, Shane, Fox, and crew–congratulations on everything–all your great work has paid off–and this is only the beginning.
Back to longer posts for me!
Grace6:45 @ 95 lbsCould’ve maybe gone a little faster or heavier–but this was a good 1st day back. I think I’m gonna work back in slowly as to not kill myself.
Tushar, thanks for watching Kamau!
nicole says
congrats on that great space david! i hope i can make it by a little more often.
grace rx 4:13 PR
Thanks dave for getting me through the last nine.

5:38 rx’d – pr
54 seconds quicker then when I did it on January 21st.
Hopefully the first of many pr’s in the new location.
David Osorio says
Wow, more people showed up than I expected! Really great to see everyone again, looking forward to things picking back up again and feeling out the new expanded schedule.
“grace”6:30 as rx’d PR
Kept it at about 90% intensity, found that I could keep pushing through at a decent pace. Thanks Margie for encouraging me.
Also loved having all the kids and animals in the space.
Snip says
Awesome first day at the new space! It was really great to see everyone, and to have all the kids (and dog) running around.
My first Grace:52#9:56I need to stop thinking about how much I hate cleans and just do them. Went up 7# from what I did for Elizabeth last weekend though.
Nino says
Ugh – 8:47 at 95lbs
I went way too slow during the first ten, then just didn’t have the gas to power through at the end. I was totally winded, but it felt great – slow time and all.
Really excited to have CFSBK kicking my ass with regularity again!
Matt U. says
Grace: 7:13 at 95#. Pretty lousy effort, I think I jumped into the action too quickly after arriving. Could have gone a lot faster.
With my leftover energy, I did Annie in 11:34, which is a PR and almost a minute and a half faster than when I did it last week.
I love the new space. Great to see everyone again, and a huge congratulations to David for building this community from scratch. I’m glad it has its own home now.
Chris J. says
Great to be back. Cool to see everyone. .
75lb. 5:22, too quick, should have went heavier. Fox scared me.
Be back tomorrow morning…
Luisa says
My first Grace–5:54 at 42#.Thanks to David, Fox and Laurel for all the help!
Jeremy says
3:05 as RX’d
Jessica Fox says
5:02 @ 85lbs.
Very happy with this considering it was 10lbs heavier and 20 secs faster than when I did this a week and a half ago. Definitely have to thank Mr. Fox for coaching me on this movement earlier in the week. Looking forward to doing this rx’d next time.
Awesome to see so many folks today! Great job by all. Tucker loves the space (as much as we do) and hopes you all continue to feed him hats and gloves. 😉
Big congrats to David and the SBK coaching staff!
Sameer Parekh says

I’ll be registering a CFSBK Affiliate team tomorrow first thing in the morning.
goodnight.
Fox says
So great to see (and hear bailing by) everyone today!
Grace (Rx’d) : 7:07?Stayed in control and felt pretty good throughout, totally thought I was ahead of Dave by 5 reps or so. I can’t believe I let him beat me.
Why am I still awake?
Margie says
Fantastic to see everyone today and start dropping some weights! I am looking forward to SBK 2.0.
Quick comment regarding Grace:
This is meant to be a fast WOD. Under 5 minutes. It is a true metabolic conditioning workout, ie bust your butt for a few minutes and then lay down on the floor for 10. If you are working at a weight that takes you much longer than that, then it’s a different workout. It becomes about strength endurance.
Take home point: don’t worry so much about getting to an rx’d weight. It’s more important to find YOUR Grace weight.
I do Grace at 60# and it takes me about 3:30-3:45. I can clean and jerk 85#, but then I’d probably be working in the 8-10 minute range and somewhat negating the spirit of this WOD.
So, first get damned fast at the appropriate weight for your current conditioning/skill level/bodyweight and then add a few pounds.
(Also there is much debate over whether the women’s weight is 85 or 95.)
