CFSBK Strength Cycle
We all want to get stronger. That's because we implicitly understand that building strength is the foundation for increasing overall physical capacity. It has been proven again and again that lifting heavy primes our bodies to be more effective and efficient at metabolic conditioning workouts. Strength is the only mode of training that supports everything else we do in the gym and in life. Plus it's pretty badass.
We are offering an 8 week, 24 session program that will involve the following:
* Small group training designed to increase your competency with the lifts
* Consistent and repeated exposure to the powerlifts along a linear progression of weight
* Short and intense complementary conditioning workouts
* Group discussions on lifting topics including: planning warm-ups, the mental aspect of lifting, and elements of the adaptive response to strength training
*New PRs

Went to Y(then realized I forgot my bag, went back out into this freaking cold ass weather, walked home, got bag, returned)
Deadlifts315x3 x5 – standing up after each repShould have gone heavier.
365x1405x1Felt lightheaded after those two. Hadn’t eaten all day (it was already after 2pm).Also, was lifting in tennis shoes, which isn’t ideal.
Dumbbell Bench50x1280x580x580x480x3Strangely enough, the 50’s really bothered my shoulder. The 80’s… not so much. After the 80’s, I just took an empty bar and did a few reps and that also bothered the shoulder.
Was going to do a little wod idea I had where you do push-ups, sit-ups, squats. The idea is you do max reps of each until you finish 100 push-ups (which marks your last round). Found this flawed after 50 (push-ups 30-20, sit-ups 60-40, squats 30-20) when I was so damn hungry and lightheaded, I decided to stop.

I’d suggest three key norms:
1. Don’t think less of people who sincerely disagree.
2. Do think less of people who insincerely agree.
3. Do think less of people who think less of people who sincerely disagree.
I don’t claim that these norms are easy. It’s tough for humans to follow them perfectly. But they’re do-able – and given human nature, they’re self-reinforcing.
