I spent T-Gives in beautiful New Jersey! All things considered, it’s a good state.

I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday because I was stuffing my face. Thanks to Chris for organizing things and keeping time! And to Katie for posting times!
Re: Sprints- I am s-l-o-w and a heel-striker. I might take solace in the fact that I’m good at LSD running, but – oh wait! I suck at that too.
I’m in Steilacoom, WA (between Tacoma and Olympia) with my parents. Doing a little work today before hitting a WOD at the local box. Then it’s off to hang Xmas lights and spend time with family.
Miss y’all. I’ll be back at the box on Monday.

Hope all had a great Turkey Day (except Asta, who likely had a ToFurkey day). Jess and I also came to the New Jersey to visit my fam. BEautiful day, save for the Giants stinking it up last night.
I didn’t spring yesterday, so today after coffee I did:
10 rounds for time of:5 push ups10 sit ups15 squats
8:37, could have shaved a few seconds if I wasn’t pushing the puppy of my ears at the bottom of some sit ups =)
See y’all tomorrow!

Thanksgiving was LOVELY. Spent it in Maine with family. Post-dinner blackberry brandy drinking from a flask under the stars in the middle of nowhere? Yeah, that’s my kind of holiday.
@Fox – This was the first year I tried ToFurkey.. and I hate to admit this, but it was actually pretty good… yikes.
Did my own “mini” turkey trot yesterday (about 1.75 miles) around Newburyport, MA. It was odd running a) without a bunch of pedestrians to dodge and b) without traffic – no waiting to cross the street!
Back in BK tomorrow night, hopefully see you all Sunday. Safe travels!
spent mine with Shane, Laurel, Malcolm, Dan and Katie. It was lovely, I’m still full!

Asta! Are you from Maine? I used to live in Portsmouth, NH. That whole area is near and dear to my heart.
We had a nice low-key day with friends. I only regret that there wasn’t another kid or two to play with Milo.
Today’s WOD: broken Angie. 26:44 Rx’d. Mostly did sets of 10 for each exercise, but I did a couple sets of 20 sit-ups/squats towards the end to buy me some rest for the pull-ups and push-ups.
First time I’ve ever done that many pull-ups Rx’d, and I didn’t even tear a callus until I was into the 90s.

My thanksgiving was ok. Mom overcooked the turkey, and aunt Bethany brought an inedible jello mold. Dad went crazy with the decorations and started stapling strings of lights to the roof. My brother Rusty and I think he’s just upset to not be getting a Christmas bonus this year; he really wanted to build that swimming pool.
Couldn’t justify a rest today so I did Fox’s workout (thanks, Coach!) in 15:47. Did the first round of pushups on my toes, then the rest strict down, knees up.

We are in Boston with Tracy’s family having a great time and eating awesome food. I finally conquered my flu yesterday and feel like a human being again (although still hacking away). I can’t wait to get back in, it’s been two friggen weeks, but I’m worried about how far I’ve slid.
Matt U. – Steilacoom! I used to live in Roy, I love that part of the country. Give a nod to Mt. Rainier for me.
Becca and I spent Thanksgiving with my brother and his family and my dad in Marin County. Except for our 3-year old nephew getting a stomach virus, everything was just fine!
Today was not a rest day. Here’s what we did at TJ’s Crossfit Gym:
After some DROMs we worked on our muscle ups. Becca and I are both making progress. Our WOD was a lot of fun:
“Fult Tilt Boogie”
Done with a partner. Full Squat Clean to Thruster. After bar is dumped partner must immediately pick up the bar and do a Full Squat Clean to Thruster. Keep alternating until one partner cries “Uncle” and drops out. Other partner continues and your coach will organize for you to keep pace with another athlete. Last man or woman standing wins.
Rx’d 115/75
We both really enjoyed this one and it felt good to keep dumping the bar from the top of our thrusters. I would love to do this at our new box when we no longer have to worry about bailing!!!

I made the first turkey of my life and it came out real well, juicy and delicious. Brining seems to be the secret.
My legs are still buzzing from those sprints, gotta do that more often.
