95, 110, 120, 125×3, 125
last time we did press 1RM I only hit 130. so much variance in this lift for me. still, 125 is a PR for x5 regardless so I felt good about this.
afterwards, did some work on the erg, warmed up knocking 10s off split every 300m from 3:00 to 2:10. then did a 10min piece at 17s/m, rowed 2.5k which felt great as I always seem to come up just short of that on 10 minute pieces. must be the cfsbk vibe which is infinitely better than my gym @ work.

Warm-up:K2E: 10 w/hip pop, 2×10 without. Thanks Chris for catching this. I was incorporating a little extension and hip pop in every one! sigh.DB thrusters: 10@20lb, 2×10@15lb. Felt like I was fatiguing my stabilizers a bit much with the 20’s, given that we were about to press.

Warmed up with the 3 rounds of 10 T2B and 10 thrusters with 30’s. First round of T2B were unbroken, but then did 7,3 for next two rounds. Thrusters were all unbroken.
Press (45, 45, 65, 85) 100, 110×4, 110, 115×3.
Matched my old PR for this, but wasn’t able to up it. Should have probably tried to micro load for a progressive PR, but I thought I might have the 115 in me.
Watching the Marathon and cheering was super fun.

WU: 3 rounds of 10–thrusters and k2e. 1st round with 20lbs. Then dropped down to 15lb db’s for the last 2 rounds. My shoulders already had nice bruises from the non-rubberized db thrusters I did yesterday so I loved doing these again today;) K2e are a work in progress.

Hadn’t done 5×5 press before so wasn’t sure what to shoot for. My guess was 60, which I got so I should have gone for 70. Next time.
It was awesome to watch the marathon out on the scaffolding! Wish I could have seen Steph but didn’t want to miss my flight. I’m in Ohio until the 11th and will definitely miss you all. Gonna get my fix at the 2 local boxes and also get gym passes to do the fun stuff that I’m missing with you all. Definitely plan on making up Christine here!
