In this version of Christine, athletes will work in teams of 3. Athletes will go for max reps in 1 minute at each station. After the completion of all three stations there will be 1 minute of rest. This cycle will repeated for a total of 3 rounds. The stations are:
1. Row (for calories)
2. Deadlift (135#/65#)
3. Box Jumps
Post individual & team reps to comments.
Accessory Work:
When was the last time you worked an L-sit or Ring Support? Don't remember? Well, bust out the parallettes and/or grab a set of rings. Hit 2 or 3 minutes (cumulative) in an L-sit or Ring Support.
Where Brooklyn at?
Great work guys!! Good luck on Sunday!
wah. wish i didn’t have to miss this so i could row out some more tears and try a box jump on a slightly higher box, but bridal crap calls. hopefully will be back tomorrow. good luck everyone out in cali. oh yeah, i did 30 squats this morning for good measure.
I liked this WOD. A little confusing getting going, but enough of a break in between to test recovery skills. Did the deadlift at 85 lbs. Total number=135. Accumulated 3 min. on the ring supports too! Thanks Vincent and Shawn.
Good one! 191 total, 67 Row, 63 DL, 61 BJ. With Scott and David M. who beat me by 1 point. This made me look forward to FGB.
177 our team was pretty consistent177 for me and grantand 179 for carlos.Got through the rings in 3 attempts 1:19, :40, 1:05
at least I didnt have to do all this through poison oak
I loved this workout! In retrospect I wish I would have pushed myself a bit harder on the deadlifts.
Total score: 136 @85 lb DL
Paul and I decided to keep it going for 5 rounds, I started at deadlifts (135 lbs)
Round 1Deadlift: 42, Box Jumps: 20, Row: 12Round 2Deadlift: 30, Box Jumps: 18, Row: 12Round 3Deadlift: 25, Box Jumps: 18, Row: 12Total for 3 rounds: 189 (Deadlift: 97, Box Jumps: 56, Row: 36)
Round 4:Deadlift: 20, Box Jumps: 15, Row: 12Round 5Deadlift: 21, Box Jumps: 16, Row: 12Total for 5 rounds: 285 (deadlift: 138, Box Jumps: 87, Row: 60)
My lower right back was really tightening up by the 3rd round. It also posed a problem on box jumps, which I’m really bad at cycling. Also, during the JacintoStorm, it was my lower left side that tightened up. I’m not sure why today it was the right side. Perhaps I was trying to compensate. Kind of weird. Still, it was a fun workout.
Ring Support: 61 seconds, 40 seconds, 30 secondsdefinitely still felt it form Wednesday.
After my pilgrimage to the Milk Thistle truck, I went to the Y
From Crossfitendurance:Bike 8 miles: 25:36 (using level 14)That just sucked. From the start, there was pain in my legs and it just lingered for the whole ride. It didn’t get progressively worse, which is good, I guess, it was just uncomfortable throughout.
135 lb squat cleans x 20not for time, just felt like practicing them
Tabata Sit-Ups: 112 (14 each round)
Then a feast of steak and eggs with salad and spinach… so very, very tasty. Now it’s time to consume some milk thistle
5 rounds total, 308. for the first 3 rounds my score was 194. fun wod, I really really enjoy this type of workout.
WOD Christine (FGB Style)192really liked this one. was hoping to be able to do more deadlifts, but was gassed after the BJ’s and ROW.
acc wkparallette work. more needed
145 with a 95lb deadlifts. Felt like the transition to rowing was awkward. I lost 10 to fifteen seconds strapping in my feet, plus it took a little bit of time for me to get up to speed on my row, so it was frustrating. Otherwise it was fun.
Ring supports: 40, 30, 21, 30. These were murder after the handstand class yesterday (which was lots of fun.)
141 as RX’d. Pretty rough on me. But that may just have been yesterday’s handstand class catching up to me.
Did ring supports for a total of 2 minutes in 4 sets.
Crossfit radio live from the games starting now.
there’s a video on the CF main page of the first event “The Run from Hell”
http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/CrossFitGames09_Event1Run.mov
HOLY SHIT!!!
Yeah – we just watched that. Listening to the radio broadcast now… WOW. Next year we are going.
Erik,Far too much volume.
We just got back from the site. What a day, I’ll reserve my thoughts on the events for when I’m not slowly typing on an iPhone. Overall it was pretty intense to see everyone really lay it all down for these events. Excited for more spectating, schmoozing and beer swilling tomorrow
too much volume, you say?I’m afraid I must now quote Spinal Tap…
Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and…Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it’s louder? Is it any louder?Nigel Tufnel: Well, it’s one louder, isn’t it? It’s not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You’re on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you’re on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?Marty DiBergi: I don’t know.Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.Marty DiBergi: Why don’t you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven.

A little bit of asthma reared its ugly heads today. I think it affected me mentally more than physically. Also, I need to stop stepping off the box and bounce! Great workout.
