See y’all at 5 at the Lyceum.
Yikes! Did 3x with 15 lb for split squats, green band and assist for pull-ups in 15:30. Thanks AJ and Matt for your help and inspiration. I can’t feel my forearms 🙂
Damn that workout looked kind of fun…:(
Thank you MCpl Doyle.
3 Rounds, 25 pounds12:58
I was focusing on making my hands not rip again because they were not fully healed from the last time, so my grip went out first.
Went for 5 rounds scaled to 30lbs with C2B pullups.
23:40 (or was it 24:30?)
Decided to go all out, no pacing, no strategy, just go. Very humbling. Had to single out the chest to bar pullups for the last 2 rounds. Fell off the bar on the last rep, pretty much crawled to a box to get myself off the floor.
May have learned something about intensity today…
Vadim was awesome encouragement with just the right amount of prodding to get me to get back on the bar. Thanks for everything and hope your hand heals quick!
Notes: My C2B pullups suck right now for some reason. Doing 105 of them really suck. All my time was spent on them.Weight felt right for that volume of DB split cleans. Maybe could have gone up in weight to 35.Really need more shoulder strength.
And, it begins…
18:20 as rx’d. I am going to make C2B pullups my next crossfit project :).
Felt depleted coming out of this weekend (it was wonderful – just a lot of energy expended.)
Decided to go for three rounds with the 20lb split cleans and C2B pull-ups, but ended up having to use the white band to do it. Pull-ups were messy and my hands ripped… apparently I need to be more aggressive with my pumice stone or take Vadim’s advice and break out the dremel.
Ha! Obviously very tired – forgot to post my time with my comments. blah. It took me 20:41.
Long weekend and then into the wod. Felt like I should have gone heavier or longer, but now I am feeling really beaten up. I am really looking forward to getting back on track with sleep and nutrition. Maybe next year I will have some gear together to cook for our competitors…
Crock pot in the hotel room!
Scaled to 3 rounds with 20 lbs.
15:38. Pullups really broke down when my palm opened up.
Used white band for pull ups and worked for C2B, though not always successfully.20# for cleans
Was intending to do 5 rounds – got to 3 rnds plus 15 cleans plus about 11 pullups when my hands nearly ripped, so I stopped.
about 15 min.
then 5 sets of 10 pushups
Woot! Awesome with people sticking to C2B pullups on today’s workout.
Going to the qualifier’s was really inspirational. Malcolm’s offer to cook just makes me look forward to competing in next year’s qualifier that much more. FOOOD!
Looks like Margie is yelling at me!
You seem to be taking it well…
Well, actually, I think she was talking dirty…
No wonder you were taking it so well!
You do inspire panting Mr. Ackerman.
I was so afraid of ripping my hands that I did only five pull ups in each round. However I tried to regain my manliness by using 45lbs dumbbells.
