I was pleased with my effort on this one. Flew through the first round, then things started to get tough. Double unders were strong though. Push-ups ended up braking into 3/2 x 4.

Thanks to David McGrath who kicked my ass through this workout — he also totally rocked it as well!
Mostly unbroken double unders, including the last round.Pushups degraded from 10/10 to 5/5/5/5 to 3/2/3/2/3/2/3/2 Cleans were 5/5 throughout.
Loved this workout, am looking forward to tackling it again.

16:38Knocked it down to 15 DUs, 10 PUs(legit) and stuck with 10 MHPCs at 42#.I liked this one. Great variation. Nice working with you Laurel!Time for coffee.
Again, in a coffee shop listening to people talk about Health and wellness.
Apparently, back pain is due to the organs in your body moving around too much when you change positions a lot. It actually doesnt have anything to do with the muscles, it’s the organs!!
My doubles are all f’d up. Hopefully will be back on doubles again shortly.
Thanks Dan for the encouragement during the wod, a great help.
Thanks also to Dan and Malcolm for halfway rearranging my apt.

17:54 with various subs:-DL @ 125# for cleans-pushups on 20″ box-counted attempts as well as DUs for rounds 1-3; then switched to 3:1 sub for singles.
fun workout. nice job, Asta!

105lb power clean. Subbed 3x singles for DU.
13:40. I am really happy about this as it is solidly on the happy side of my curve (course that just raises the bar for next time).
Nice working with you Mike, that was awesome.
Laurelsays
13:47 with lots of scaling:3×1 singles for doubles.10 push-ups rather than 20, but they were strict.42lbs for the cleans.
My first sets of pushups were unbroken, then sets of five, then last set was something like 5+3+2.
Great working with you Deb – your doubles are looking good, can’t wait until I can do that.

20:40 – or something like that.I am wrecked.Subbed 35lb dumbbell cleans because of my hurt wrist. Also did Knuckle push-ups for the same reason.Thank you Jeremy for letting me know it would be easier if I turned my knuckles in 45 degrees. Blast you for not noticing until my 98th one!DU’s were fine. Cleans were good to. Push ups destroyed me.last two rounds were 1-1-1-1-etc..
Bjornsays
This was one of those workouts where midway through I just wanted to sit on somebody’s lap and cry uncontrollably.
24:52 for four rounds, didn’t scale this one enough, was totally gassed after the first round of DUs and had to take long breaks throughout just to catch my breath somewhat. Pushups were killer, only did 10 in the last 2 rounds, I guess I need another burpee challenge, cleans at 115 lbs were the easy part. Ugh. Sucked.
David, thanks for finding my phone.
Alec, great job!
Jack, I’d like to get in on your kettlebell order if it’s not too late.

Did the Mother’s Day Prospect Park Duathlon (5K run – 13.5 mile bike – 5K run)
Finished in 1:31:00, which was 3rd in my age group (25-29) and 26th out of about 80 men overall.
My goal was 1:35, so it was better that I thought I would do and definitely better than I could have done last year before switching to Crossfit/Crossfit Endurance
Sameer and I were talking about running, possibly in Prospect Park starting Tuesday at 7. Anyone else interested?
Malcolmsays
Here is a link to some photos from yesterday at the gym plus playing in the park with a log.
Malcolm those photos are killer!!You know, as I was browsing through, I kept thinking that something about them seemed odd. And then I realized it’s because Dan is actually IN most of them.: )
Also, I can’t seem to find my notebook. If anyone sees a small, hardcover journal with a flower-like design on the front, please rescue it for me!
Running: A bunch of people have mentioned interest. So far the most interested look like Dan R, Dan L, and myself. Others have mentioned interest but I forget who else exactly? Dave McG? All interested parties should email me and I’ll make a little email list we can use to coordinate. sameer-at-creativedestruction.com
We are looking at Tues/Fri, 7pm, Prospect Park. Dan L and I were discussing logistics regarding where we would put our bag for safekeeping s if we come direct from work. I didn’t have a good idea… thoughts?
thanks for posting the pics malcolm. I want to see some of the dome pics now, too!
On the running schedule: I have a plan to do a workout every day until july, at which point I will have a wednesday rest day, but I know that my plan won’t match with reality, as other “commitments” will necessitate random days off here and there. So I figure planning two runs and five CF wods per week is okay because the plan won’t actually happen.
That said, maybe I should just do Tuesdays for the run, because then Friday is then completely open for debauchery, rather than run and then debauchery, which could get tough.
hm. life is hard. =)
