14:20 @ 135lbs. this is my favorite type of wod.
16:07 started at 115, after 1st round stripped to 95. Feel like I’m still learning to clean properly.
SOoooo nice to be outside!
16:40 @ 72lbs, subbing front squat for push press.
12:24 @ 135lbs
Thank you David McG for counting and kicking my ass through the WOD. Don’t think I would have finished without the encouragement.
Was really worried about the push jerk with my elbow being sore. Turns out I should have been more concerned with how it would affect my grip. Almost lost it on the DL in later rounds, and the hang power cleans eventually needed to move into single power cleans from the floor. How embarrassing…
Oddly enough, push jerks were unbroken for most of the rounds (including the last). Got a little rhythm going there.
Was so much fun to be outside for this workout. Looking forward to something like this happening again soon.
20:05 @ 115lbs
My cleans were really weak. DL’s and PJ’s were mostly unbroken but I was only getting 1’s and 2’s on the cleans past the first round.Need to work on the form, because it shouldn’t have been that hard at that weight.
Thanks to everyone for the encouragement to finish. DT Totally kicked my ass.
20:26 @100lbs for the first three rounds and 90 for the last two.
Felt like I couldn’t ever get my breath back.
I need pressing strength badly, the push jerk was by far the hardest. The deadlift was pretty easy relative to that.
Afterwards playing around on the rings I got my first chained together dips. Did a triple!
Thank you everyone for the encouragement. I really felt like I couldn’t finish this one.
12:18 @ 75lbs.
Cleans were not so great. Working on the aggression thing…
Glad to be outside, glad to be done. Thanks for the support, Ash.
19:40Biggest probably was string together cleans and jerks without bailing and having to do the extra work in racking the bar. Lower back also tightened which didn’t help.
17:12 @ 52lbs. My press is seriously weak, I found my forearms were the limiting factor… plus on workouts like these, once I start feeling fatigued, I really don’t know how hard I can/should push myself. When someone starts talking me through it I seem to be able to push harder without trouble, but I can’t seem to do it on my own. Still feeling this out.
The outside-ness was wonderful. Glad to see you up and about again David!
11:00 @ 115lbswanted to try and stay on form, i think i managed to. DL’s unbroken as were PJ. MHPC broken into 4 and 5’s.would like to try heavier next time.
you’re welcome dan, way to beast through that WOD.
really great to work outside.
is DT short for something?
David, the WOD is named in honor of USAF SSgt Timothy P. Davis.
According to Crossfit.com: Davis, 28, was killed on Feburary, 20 2009 supporting operations in OEF when his vehicle was struck by an IED. Timothy is survived by his wife Megan and one-year old son T.J.
thanks dan..that’s where i saw it, i thought it sounded familiar.
time was 14:23
started at 115 lbs but ended up dropping to 95 after about a round and a half. new baby fatigue kicking my ass! great time outside today!! everyone was great. what was up with that guy rolling up with the car exhaust smog?!

i need sleep!
16:06 with 75#
I found this to be slow like molasses. During the first round, I was certain I would not finish, but then by the time I made it through the second round, it seemed possible.
Thank you Stephanie for talking me through it – and great work grinding through the jerks!
14:41 as RX’d. Harder than I thought it would be. Much thanks to Leo for keeping my head in the game.
15:25 as rx’d, tried to pace myself and avoid singles.
hm my post didn’t go through.
15:30 or so with 95lbs. thought I’d do 115 but I saw what 115 did to John so I scaled down to 95.
18:51 w 85#Started w 90# and quickly realized it wasn’t going to happen. The jerks were definitely the hardest. Thanks Margie for pushing me. You killed it!!
Fun being outside!
