Wow that’s hardcore — 30# dumbbell thrusters are no joke! Awesome Juliana, you’re going to kick butt at the qualifier.
And props to Jack, after leaving the globo gym you’ll never look back.
Looking forward to back squatting today.
And to the birthday folks: what viciousness have we planned for the b-day accessory metcon? 🙂

Thanks guys! I credit all my accomplishments to the excellent coaches at csfsbk. David, you have given the tools necessary to start harnessing all this strength (that I didn’t know I possessed). I am so excited about continuing on this road and discovering what else I can do.
Many birthday wishes to Leo, Anne and felix. Enjoy and may you have many more ! Anne, any plans for celebrating your b-day this weekend?
See you guys tonight

When I quit the Equinox yesterday, they had me meet with one of the personnel to formally resign(and to get me to stay). She said to me “give me 3 good reasons why you’re leaving us, you’ve been a member for so long”. I said “Crossfit, Crossfit, Crossfit”. She goes “I hear ya”.True story.
Great classes tonight. Awesome to see Chris, Cynthia, Felix and Alec back in the fold. Also very cool to have the kids fresh from Foundations joining the L1 pack.

Jack did destroy me…he has beaten me for the second time. This time by doing one round more than I was able to squeeze out of that evil push up ladder. Another gentleman who I have to pay my deepest respect is Dan. Witnessing his commitment and dedication in the Squat was a stunning and inspiring experience.
Congrats to Brian and Charmel for their new PRs.

Backsquat – 5X5155/165/175/185/195prForm felt strong. Happy about the PR considering that I failed on 190 last time we did 5X5s. Last rep was challenging, but went up and I think I could go heavier.Dan – keep your eyeballs in your head. Heavy stuff my friend.

BSQ 5×5: 120,125, 130, 135,140Accessory work: push-up ladder finished 9th round, after that i just tried to do as many push-ups as my arms could handle in 30 sec.
Felt great tonight on the bsq! Nice job step and margie-ladies it’s always a pleasure lifting heavy shit with you. Congrats to all who Pr’d tonight.
Old BSQ 1 rep max was 260, feels good to be able to do 5 reps at my prior PR. First time attempting 5×260 was horrible — the world disappeared for the lift’s duration. The second time was much easier, as was the final attempt at 265.
Pushup ladder – completed round 14, but had nothing left for 15.
Congrats to everyone who attempted this workout regardless if you PR’d or not.
Andy: thanks for the encouragement and solid advice during the lifts. Don’t think I’d have attempted that much weight without ya. I like the idea of opening with heavy weight, will have to try that approach next time.
And thanks Brian and Shane — will do my best to keep my eyes in my skull and to not dump the weight unless absolutely necessary.
