Been wanting another crack at this workout, even if it does come after two days of deadlifting. What the hell how could my 1 year anniversary at CFSBK be a WOD without deadlifts?
PNF was fun today, glad i got a chance to spend some 1 on 1 time with Richard, Anne and Karolina.
I love finding new uses for the panel mats. It makes a great stretching table.

6:32 as rx’d also a PR. Had to break up the deadlifts more often than I had planned, 275 is still a lot of weight for me to move. A significant improvement over the last time, which was an embarrassing 16+ minutes. Am looking forward to when I can get 3x body weight on the dead…
Jermey, congrats on a sub-3 — you completely demolished it.
Bethany, you did amazing; great form on the deads, and those burpees were solid!
Looking forward to those split jerks tomorrow!

WOD: 8:02 @ 122 lbs
Dan, thanks tons for helping me stay focused, breathing and moving at a good pace – always a huge motivator to have someone counting and coaching you through a WOD.
question: i usually eat a meal around 4pm. what do you suggest for a good pre xfit meal if i’m planning on making a 6 o’ the clock class?

Zak, a “good carb” centric meal would best to gas you up for the workout. Nothing too fibrous and nothing too sugary, plus you should throw some protein in there. A piece of fruit or some sweet potato and 2 or 3 oz of chicken or fish or lean meat or a couple of boiled eggs. Go easy on fat.
Actually, this type of meal is good for pre and post workout – generally you want to keep your carbs highest around exercise with protein being the next priority and fat the last. The rest of the day, protein and fat and green veggies take precedence.
This WOD was tough…hard to come off of burpees, out of breath, and set up for DL’s. I have trouble keeping my back from rounding – helped to set myself before each DL. Thanks for the reminders Shane.
Finished class with a great torture…I mean stretch session with David. Thanks!!

I found this article on glycemic index vs fructose very interesting:
Was working right next to Margie and we got into this rep for rep rhythm.took a two second break in middle of last set of Burpees. Margie finished first by those 2 sec.Overall Burpees felt great and first 4 sets went unbroken.Need to work on my Deadlift form.
We missed getting the mobility work in this week so it will restart today and continue through Sunday.

2:59 as RX’d, PR by 18 seconds. This workout broke me. I still feel like shit. Be careful what you wish for I guess.

HSPU’s slowed me down a lot at the beginning. Pull-ups were mostly active recovery except for the last set of 45.

Nicole, you are an absolute beast. I can’t wait to retest your 1RM for DL.
Nice work Jeremy and happy 1 year anniversary.

I can’t believe it! That’s a crazy thing to do on jetlag.
Welcome back.
Thanks Margie!
It’s totally motivating to watch you do the WOD… 6:20 is awesome!
