Emily sneaks in some post WOD flexing.
This weekend Jeremy, Sal and myself will be participating in the Mid-Atlantic Hopper Challenge. CrossFit events like these are a great opportunity to compete with new people in a new environment. I encourage everyone to step out of their comfort zone and plan on competing in the next challenge that comes up.

I’ve been wanting to do that workout for a while. The grip was the absolute hardest part of this; the rest of the movements were relatively easy at this weight. Bringing the weight down from a rack position on the cleans is especially taxing. I think I can tackle the prescribed 135# next time.
How’s the Hopper going?

I had too much work this morning, couldn’t make it down. What was the wod today? Judging from the comments so far did you do the one from the main site a few days back with deads, power cleans, front squat and push jerks?
Adam says
Right on Kent:
5 rounds for time:
15 Deadlifts 135#12 Power Hang Cleans 135%9 Front Squat 135#6 Push Jerk 135#

1st round @ 1052nd @ 953-5 @ 85
This just killed my grip. Next time my goal is 105 the whole way.
Got a weighted pullup with a 2 pood KB! That blows away my previous record of 45#.

Brutal workout today:
72#32:35-ish
pistolssome mu attempts
and to top it off, shared predictions of doom with Charmel.
Kent says
Yeah, I did this one the other day.
24:26 @95lbs
I went low on weight to make sure my form didn’t slack. I’m with everyone though, this was killer on the grip! I couldn’t even write my time down after I was done!
