I’d like to give the beginner’s class a special mention today. It was everyone’s first Filthy 50/Dirty 30 and everyone gritted their teeth and went to work. it was a solid hour of inspiration and a prime example of what Crossfit really is and why I love CF and CFSBK so much.

41:56This was my first filthy 50 and damn it was hard. I’m glad I didn’t pass out! Thank you Shane, it’s the coaches that get us through these hard wod’s. David feel better :-), shouldn’t you have an ankle brace or something more supportive than just an ace wrap? Remember rest, ice, compression and elevation.

sticking points were: k2e and burpees. Erik, it was great to get those last 15 done with you. To echo everyone’s sentiments – this is why we CF together: cause we inspire each other to push harder.

It was great to walk in on the level 1 class and see you all busting your butts. Excellent motivation.

50:1820 kg kb swings (16’s were taken)hit a wall on the burpeesonly found any kind of energy left when Margie and I synced up and did the last 15 (3 sets of 5)
I did finally string together sets of double unders, including 11 in a row. I need more practice, but it was a big step in the right directions. The key… total fatigue before even trying.
also, Jeremy, did you thank the Angels for sweeping the red sox? A slaughter game 1, then 2 come from behind wins… nice!

After a random bout of insomnia left me with one hour of sleep last night, I decided that the filthy 50 probably wasn’t in my best interest and instead took a nice 6 AM bike ride across the Brooklyn Bridge (my first!) then stopped and did an easy 1/4 Angie in the park on my way home: 7:25

Great day at the Lyceum today. It’s awesome to have two active classes running (17 athletes) without anyone rubbing elbows. Thanks so much to Shane and Jacinto for keeping this machine running while i gimp around trying to recruit the speigeltent people for Crossfit.

44:15 w/ 500 singles… UghI checked my old 50 time and it was about 14 minutes less than yesterdays but I forgot I scaled my first 50. I thought everyone did really well yesterday! I love workin out with you guys!! Max, congrats to you and your wife, so exciting! See you guys Wednesday.

I was hoping to do one double under for every 5 singles but the “filthy” had done me in by the time i looked at the jumprope.. Thanks Shane and Jacinto for leading us especially when we felt like we were going to combust in that heat!

hey gang,i made this workout up last night. brutal. not my fastest time, 29:22.the burpees killed me. i broke them down into sets of 10 and 5. I was so gassed for double unders, which I’m usually good at, i could only get 10 in a row at a time.
