First off, is it just me or does the phrase “lick of hemp butter” make any one else shudder, as if from nails on a chalkboard. It conjures up the image of someone licking a bar of butter and that’s just not right. Not right at all.

this “special place” is my workplace. they feed us breakfast and lunch (and snacks). its nice but a hard environment to be in. they warn new employees about the “jane street 15” similar to the “freshman 15” when you go to college…
very hard to be zonesque when there are fun things to eat lying around..

Well, 2 good strict week of the Paleo diet have come to a screeching halt.
Lunch:1/3 of my colleague’s DADwich (sandwich that his DAD packed for him)1.5 slices of pizza1 Piece of Chocolate cake.
At least I no longer want to rip somebody’s head off.

Zak. I would like your professional opinion on frying bacon in cast iron.
My bacon tends to get too crispy (read nearly burned) before all the fat has rendered. Why is that? I’ve been heating the pan first (med heat), then adding the bacon. I was thinking maybe it’s because I season my pan with ev olive oil and it gets too hot too quickly, so then I thought maybe I should season the pan with coconut oil.

nah…. just go slow and low….
i recommends less preheating time and keep the flame on a med-low heat. at the restaurant we bake our bacon at 350 degrees in a convection oven for about 20min. it gets rendered and crispy! (then reheated later) most resaurants do it this way… keeps the bacon from going all curley too…. another option would be to get a bacon press to keep it flat so it cooks more evenly.

also, when i am frying up my bacon, i don’t use any oil at all, the bacon has enough fat to cook off that i don’t find the need for extra oil.
this past weekend i made bacon on a grill ontop of alum. foil – it was amazing. highly recommended!

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tub of hemp butter? Uh-one, uh-two, uh-three hundred.
Workout 1: (12:00pm)Snatch: 40kgx3, 50kgx2, 60kgx2 65kgM, 65kgx1, 70kgx1PR, 75kgx5misses!going up 5kg was WAY too big of a jump but i was feeling strong and stubborn.
Workout 2: (3:00pm)”Mary” 5 HSPU, 10 Pistols, 15 Pull-ups7 Rounds plus 5 HSPU & 10 Pistols.Every hspu was skull to floor and every pistol was ass to ankle.20 Minutes came up on me way too fast, it felt about half as long as cindy does. Gonna shoot for 9 rounds next time. This was my first “Mary”
