Welcome to CFSBK Coach Jennie!

CFSBK would like to welcome aboard the newest addition to our coaching staff, Coach Jennie! Jennie will be working Sunday’s group classes. Learn a little more about her below.

Jennie’s love of athletics started early in life.  She began playing T-ball at the age of 4 and went on to play softball through high school and college.  Jennie played shortstop as a freshman in high school and started at shortstop as a freshman in college.  Always staying active, she played on school teams, travel teams and local teams.  During high school, Jennie discovered her passion for exercise and started to work out often.
Jennie started as a Psychology major in college but then switched her major to Health Sciences where she first studied Anatomy and Kinesiology.    She finished college with a B.A. in Exercise Science and a Minor in Psychology.  After finishing college, Jennie immediately went to work at a small local CrossFit gym.  She received her CrossFit Level 1 Certification in 2012.  She later obtained her CrossFit Level 2 Certification as well as her CrossFit Gymnastics Certification.  A couple of years later, she would go on to receive her M.S. in Exercise Science and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation from Brooklyn College and later become a Certified Exercise Physiologist.  She worked at Flatbush CrossFit through May 2020. The gym  then closed permanently due to COVID-19.  Jennie has competed in several CrossFit competitions and CrossFit is truly one of her passions in life.

Jennie is a ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist and holds certifications in CrossFit Level 2, FMS Level 2 and CrossFit Gymnastics.  She has attended the CrossFit Gymnastics Seminar and has competed in several CrossFit competitions.  She also is First Aid/CPR/AED/BLS certified.
