TONIGHT at 7:30pm: Cornhole Tournament!
WHAT?
An evening of friendly cornhole competition. Haven’t played before? Don’t worry! It’s pretty simple, and this video explains everything. All are invited! Please leave a comment on the event page if you plan to participate. Teams (of 2) can declare beforehand, or we’ll pair you up at the tournament.
WHEN?
Friday, May 17th at 7:30pm during Open Gym. We’ll have the cornhole boards set up periodically over the next few weeks so you can practice.

Ignoring Cyclists Won’t Make Us Go Away Outside

Came in on a Friday for the first time this cycle — I’ve been actively avoiding Oly lifting in group class because I do it at NLWC twice a week. But since loaded squats haven’t been too comfortable lately, I decided to come today and clean instead of squatting yesterday.
(Odd: I don’t understand why cleaning doesn’t hurt when squatting does! Maybe it’s because I never clean enough weight to irritate the hip area.)
Got to 113, but it wasn’t a well-executed 113. In general in Frankie’s class, I do the best in the 93-103 range, and things start looking less perfect at 108 and above. I’m not sorry I went a little heavier, because it’s a reminder of why I need to keep working at the light weights.
Sled sprints were so hard! Now I feel like making a crossword puzzle with LACTIC ACID as the first entry in the grid 😛
