Today! The Subway Series Returns to CFSBK!
Another year has gone by, and it’s time once again for an NYC affiliate throwdown: the sixth annual Subway Series! All NYC affiliates are invited to participate—the affiliate with the best overall score at the end of four events wins the Subway Series Trophy and bragging rights for a whole year! The third event of the year will take place right here at CFSBK. The action kicks off today at noon.
As a result, we’ll only be offering 8, 9, and 10am group classes. Everything else, including Active Recovery and Anti-Gravity, will be cancelled. (Open Gym is on!) Come for class in the morning, stay to watch your fellow CFSBKers throw down in the afternoon!

10 a.m massive split class w/Katie.
High hang snatch EMOM: 80, 85×2, 90×2, 95×2, 100×2, 105. Felt good! Katie noted I gotta get a little more pull with the elbows. But nice skill work on the whole.
Metcon: 11:42; 2/3 TTB & 1/2 d/u attempts. Slowwww & discombobulated.

10am with Katie
Snatch – worked up to 165, which I caught a little out in front, but was able to save
Metcon – 5:39 Rx'd – Tripped a couple times getting started on the first round of DUs but did the last 2 rounds unbroken.

Snatch: 73#. Feels good from the high hang!
WOD: 11:18 TTB were 8-7-6, 6-3-2-2-2, 3-3-3. DUs were very broken up. Amazed by people who can do 60 unbroken…!!!
Fun workout. Good luck subway series!

Such a great event today. Many more thoughts to follow but all the competitors showed grit and the judging and volunteer staff were spectacular and made the day possible. I love CFSBK so much. OK, I've had 3 drinks but I really do love you folks.
