We all want to get stronger. That’s because we implicitly understand that building strength is the foundation for increasing overall physical capacity. It has been proven again and again that lifting heavy primes our bodies to be more effective and efficient at metabolic conditioning workouts. Strength is the only mode of training that supports everything else we do in the gym and in life. Plus it’s pretty badass.
This program will involve the following:
-Small group training designed to increase your competency with the lifts.
-Consistent and repeated exposure to the powerlifts along a linear progression of weight
-Short and intense complementary conditioning workouts.
-Group discussions on lifting topics

Thanks Nick for an informative and interesting Rowing Clinic. Had a lot of fun and learned a lot. Not sure I hate rowing any less, but at least I can work on improving my technique. You should definitely have more of these!

worked up to 260 X4 on my Deadlift. My legs have been tired and sore for the past 3 days so I was not going to push for another rep or two…
10:33 RXed. I think if my legs were a little fresher I could have gone faster… I was feeling my leg start to tighten up a lot on the last 150 of the 400M run.
Thanks again to Coach Nick for the Erg class. helped me with some things and made me realize one of my goats has its own goat. Here is to keeping those shoulder well pinned down and back.

Did something I don't think I've ever done before, which is come to open gym on Sunday. I thought about coming this morning, but it feels like I've been doing deadlifts all weekend (between unpacking and going to Target endless times to pick up storage items). So I spent an hour working on all the things I never have time to do when running to work after 7 AM class, namely handstand kickups and kipping pull-ups.
I've really got to do this more often! Also, Crystal is a beast and I fully expect her to be doing Nasty Girls by the end of the year.
