1. 20,000 additional square feet.
2. Additional lifting platforms.
3. Lattice array hanging from ceiling
4. Screen connected to ergs for races.
5. Atlas stones.
6. Showers.
7. Rock climbing wall.
8. Giant trampolines.
9. Parallel bars
10. Ball pit (you know, for kids).
11. Computerized log book so coaches and clients can more easily track stats.
12. Computerized leader board that's tied into the log books.
13. A leader board that tracks more than the top 3, perhaps top 5.
14. A wall of photos of everyone at the gym with their names (I need to learn everyone's name).
15. A graph of the distribution of all of the movement patterns that have been done thus far in group classes. making it more obvious where our bias is, and this to correct for it in our personal training.
16. Pull-up bars at the front of the gym that are dampened oscillator; current bars regularly reach resonance during use…
17. Nicer neighbors; so we can do more workouts outside.
18. A 400m track with turf.

If we're talking about things within the realm of possibility, I vote for more Active Recovery classes! I'd love to come twice a week but there's no way I can get out of work in time for a 6 PM class on Tuesdays.

OMG Dan, you are such a geek!
1) Squat racks that you don't trip over walking out weights and have safety pins.. or R3 racks on the platforms.
2) A place to push the prowler
3) Powerlifting leaderboards w/ weight classes.
4) Hot tub

Squat/DL yesterday… A mixed bag:
Squat: 345×3
Very hard. Got a bit stuck on the 3rd rep that I had to really push through.
Sumo DL: 325×1 on 2nd rep I felt a sharp pain in the depth of my butt check and dropped the bar. I then tried a conventional pull and it still hurt and I realized I was completely toast. Really under-recovered and tired.
I then did a post-WO workout of moving a lot of boxes and re-setting up the apt. after the painters left absolutely everything in the center of every room. Bookcase gone, so lots of book boxes. A grueling 3 hours…
This morning my right butt cheek hurts. Bummer.

remove and replace the terrible sticky "new" plates by the platforms. they are a nightmare.
better lighting in changing rooms and bathrooms, and some extra Tp/paper towel storage in the bathrooms do that users can replenish them themselves.
improved and expanded shoe, bag and coat storage.
bike storage/ secured area.
limits to class size.

9am with D.O. Abs, chest and tris are feeling beat up from Angie yesterday. Rx'd today's workout: 6 rounds + 32 DUs + 8 box jumps. Double-unders followed by box jumps were brutal. Nice working out next to Vincent who smoked me on DUs every round while I caught up to him on the push press.
The Crossfit Reebok One gym looks too clean. It needs some more blood on the barbells and sweat on the floor. As for CFSBK, I think the equipment setup is pretty good. Maybe a better lifting shoe storage area. And separate bike areas for the 6am and 7am classes so that my bike doesn't get blocked in by the 7am-ers.

Very spicy WOD today – lot of fun. 5 & 2/3 rounds, 24#, 75# (was plenty heavy, so I don't doubt I have regressed somewhere along the way). I was really motoring through my last round of doubles and this useless brace I wear on my elbow slipped off and ran down the rope. Chickens, I was counting… Thank you universe. Anyway, great class – thanks Josh!
Would love more shoe storage & bike rackage, and if I had to really wish big, showers.

i agree with michele, some kind of organized and secure bike storage would be awesome. i feel bad stacking my bike on top of others, and am a little paranoid about it getting snatched.
used 65lbs for today's wod and got 8 rounds plus 1 box jump. took it kind of slow and steady with the goal of doing every movement unbroken. i really appreciate the advice to step down on the box jumps and plan to do so in most wods that involve them. great working with my fellow bad ass, kh!

Definitely a shower or two for those days when a sweaty dude like myself has somewhere to go after the gym.

9am with MGMT. Really enjoyed this workout. These movements suit me better than others for some reason. Managed 6rds plus a round of DUs and 4/16 box jumps. Started with 95# on push press but it was too ambitious – especially after thursday- and had to drop to 75# midstream. Side note: I was savagely, brutally crushed by "Big Ang" yesterday. Generally sore everywhere. (Who would have thought 100 push ups would do this to you, go figure).

Lost count on my reps every single movement 4-6 times. Annoying, but my own fault so I just rolled with the punches. Did 1/2 the pull ups on the fat bar to protect my hands.
Interesting feedback, from all. Showers and storage are a common theme.
I will note the two visitors who said "this gym is way nicer than mine so I can't ask for anything" 😀

Oh yeah, those new plates! I hate to be ungrateful but I hate those more. I was really happy to see plates dedicated to the platforms, but those things are more work than they are worth. (sorry David!) Not to mention you need bummer plates from the regular poo anyway if you are pulling from the ground.
Ideally we'd have 1 set of 45's bumpers for each platform and then a bunch of iron. Bumpers and then iron for 3+ plate DL's is the way to go.

David, I appreciate at least a thousand things about SBK every time I walk in the door. I hope my suggestions didn't sound petty or (as Rob said) ungrateful. I compare SBK to every other facility I walk into or see, and inevitably prefer SBK.
I am typing this from Rip's gym, aka The Mothership. Working out once here is plenty – I would pick SBK any day 🙂

Like Rob, I also hate taking weights from the regular poo.

Shower would be rad, given that it's kind of a hike from my house and I like the AM workouts. Not that being mildly gross all day is bad, it usually gets me my own seat on the subway and pitying looks from strangers.

Oh Noah… I hate to squat in poo too.
The cool thing about the Reebok gym is the SIZE. Holy football field. The green astro turf with 10 yard marker lines is awesome: that's the prowler, tire pull, etc., strip I'd love.
I'm surprised that after this brutal summer no one mentioned AC. Could any fan be big enough?
But as has been mentioned, no gym measures up to SBK regardless of what we can list above.

I really like our gym, but I'd love enough room to do sprint work. Even space for shuttle runs, sprint starts, or agility drills would be awesome, but I understand square footage is at a premium in the city.

Supple Leopard was 3 strong this evening and finished out of the money, with a lamentable 15 of a possible 42.5 points. WAS THIS YOUR FAULT? COULD YOU HAVE MADE IT BETTER BY SHOWING UP????
Srsly we wants more peepulz! Hope we can get some more out next week! Note there is NO QUIZ on 10/21, so it's all about next Sunday.

IMO I believe PQ tonight was the toughest ever, the room was mostly silent and tables actually got up and left. Usually there is at least one relief round.. non. It was wild.

To answer the question about equipment, I would love more strong man stuff, and would absolutely love some turf where we could push a prowler. And yes to showers, that would be great sometimes. Also, totally selfishly, weight class leaderboards for the lifting.
