Nobody should do this. But I still want to see it in person.

Last official day? Today’s day 59 of the 60 day challenge according to my records!
Whenever it ends, I’ll probably go wild for a couple of days (pizza, sugar) and then try to settle into a 90/10 paleo lifestyle.

Malcolm, that was Misha Koklyaev.
He’s a Russian Strongman competitor who also does some Powerlifting and O-lifting. He’s one of the flat out strongest and most powerful people on the planet. His youtube channel is filled with serious feats of strength:http://www.youtube.com/user/koklyaevmisha

Great snatch work this morning! Of course, when I tell my husband what we do in class, it sounds so dirty. (“We spent most of the class working on our snatches!”) I topped out at 42, which is fine for my still-a-beginner-self.
Best part was practicing double-unders (my nemesis) after class. I feel like it’s always two steps forward, one step back for me with those things. Today was definitely forward, though, as I got 4 in a row for the first time! Tomorrow I will probably be back to swearing at the jump rope every other attempt, but for today I’ll just bask in the progress.

I am really enjoying Paleolillith’s blog. Bouley AND the arm/leg move, aka the “dual mandate.” That’s a signature move.

Loved the Paleolilith post today– great stuff!
As for the challenge, I intend to eat exactly the same way as I have been. Because I did a challenge in the fall, I have not been 100%, (but pretty darn close), so this 60 days was more about keeping focus on my lifestyle change. I may actually get more strict about cheese next month than I was in February.
I did make some improvements which I intend on keeping. It’s all about moderation for me though and that means zero grains and legumes, very infrequent desert, (as close to zero refined sugar).
Three things I have found for myself:
1) Sugar is evil, I must keep it at bay. This includes big doses of starches. I am a junkie: one cheat and I’m half way back to rehab.
2) Gluten and I don’t need to have anything to do with each other, although a minor cheat does not affect me at all.
3) I like booze too much. Between the weather and my job hitting new levels of stress this winter, this part did not go as planned and probably is responsible for the sabotage my body recomp plans.

Dude, is that a awesome looking back squat or what?

David kicked our asses today. And we thank him for it.
FSQ 2-2-2: (45×5,65×3,85×1) 95x2x3Feel so much more comfortable with this lift. I no longer fear it.
Ass kicker WOD: 3RFT Row 400m + 25 thrusters with 45# barbellBeen a looooong time since I’ve felt this way post-wod. I kinda liked it.
Jessica Bailey says
Subbed power cleans for snatchesLots of warm up sets and then 63×2, 68×2, 70×2
Fox says
Snatchworked up to 65kg, a previous PR, though tonight it felt slow and sloppy. Goal of bodyweight snatch will elude for some time further.
FSQ215x2x3This felt heavier than I had hoped. I am such a weak FSQer 🙁
Samir Chopra says
I’m stuck in snatching. I approach 95, 100 and then fail – third cycle in a row. Somehow, at that weight, I can no longer get under the bar quickly enough, or not spread too wide, or be stable (and so on).
Anyway.
WU: muscle snatch, high hang snatch etc with barbell. Then, 75×2
Work: 85×2, 95x2x2, 100×2, 105F, 95×2
Hang Balance: 95, 100 (lighter than last week).
