Hey folks. Can anyone get me paul and becca’s contact info? Mma trainer getting quotes from folks to make shirts, want to make sure he gets in touch with the best. Email me at jimmyr72@gmail.com and I will get him in touch.
despite my general dislike of running, i went on an early morning 2 mile run in cedar falls, iowa. i would even call it pleasant. no doubt slow, but nice. will go farther tomorrow.
Random rest day question:
Is anyone aware of any gymnastics-biased programming out there? Endurance folks have CFE, strength folks have Crossfit Football and various other strength-biased programs…what of gymnastics?
I know there’s a cert, I’m more interested in programming at this point…
Joe – This is coach Sommer’s daily gymnastic wods. I haven’t followed them much but have been thinking about tinkering with some gymnastic workouts and skill acquisition.
Thanks Malcom. I don’t see a link in your post, but I’m assuming you mean http://www.gymasticbodies.com?
I’ll have to check out the book when I’m in the gym tomorrow night.
Thanks for the gymnastics info Malcolm and Joe. I’m going to look it up. I, too am very interested in playing some more with gymnastics. I’ve been keeping my eye open for a Jeff Tucker cert. I’ll let you know if I find anything.

Yeah. Sorry for the no link post. There it is. The formatting is a little rough but they are all there. I would really like to do more gymnastic things but I think there is a pretty big strength gap before I can do most of those wods.
A whole new take on “rest day”… lock the gym and leave us standing on the sidewalk for a half hour. I ended up doing the “Columbian Platter” WoD @ Bogota. Yum.
Today’s MOD was:

Peter,
Sorry for the flub at 5pm. I assure you at least 2-3 trainers will be fired.
Good active recovery class tonight. Liked how we pre and post tested our PVC overhead squat. My form clearly improved with all of the mobility work we did. It was much easier to get down in a squat while also keeping my chest up.
Thought about doing some snatch work during open gym but decided to give myself a little more lax ball lovin’ on my sore hammies.
2 unexpected side effects of the marathon:-being hungry as all hell. So hungry only a bierkraft sandwich would do.-being super tired. So tired I’m going to bed now.
