Congratulations to Malcolm and Laurel on their marriage yesterday! Did you have a good time at their party?
Happy Labor Day! CFSBK will be running Group classes at 12pm, 5pm, 6pm and 7pm. Strength and Foundations are on as usual. The only difference is that we are not holding 6am and 7am classes as well as the noon Teaser and BTC.

Yesterday was a major-league feel-good night. Our beloved box was done up spectacularly (kudos to Margie and her diligent crew!), and folks were out to party hearty (and dressed to impress!).
And Laurel and Malcolm, the stars of the night, were in fine form in so many different ways (not just the amazing dancing and muscle-ups-in-a-wedding-gown).
Lots of good memories to take away; I hope we’ll get a chance to see some photos sometime soon.
Thanks everyone. Last night was yet another one of those great experiences CFSBK keeps throwing my way. I look forward to many more with all my friends here.

I have to second Cyclops on this. What a lovely evening…Laurel was beyond stunning, and you both have about the most charming family A person could hope to have. May every day of your lives be as filled with love as that room was last night.Margie you did a phenomenal job. David I am so glad you danced!Jack, I now know you more intimately then I ever wanted to.Everyone else it was so great to see you…though by now I am sure you realize, you will never be rid of me…;)<3<3<3

I am so honored that I was able to be part of Laurel and Malcolm’s wedding – it was a beautiful and fun night that I hope lived up to their expectations.
I am extremely grateful to the peeps who took time out of a gorgeous sunday afternoon to make this thing happen:Shaun, Sameer, Michele, Katie (a friend of Laurel’s), Jenna, Greg, Erica and Jeremy. The gym would not have had its surprising transformation without you.
And to my clever and skilled bartenders extraordinaire Matt U, Joe and Sarah – you guys classed things up big time!
Thanks also to the early arrivers to today’s noon class for helping to reassemble the gym!
And, of course, thanks David for providing a much beloved space in which Malcolm and Laurel could begin their next phase of life together.
L’Chaim!
Michele says
Congrats again to Laurel and Malcolm. Loved that tango!!
That was quite a party. Very glad I lifted yesterday rather than today.
30-day Paleo challenge began today. So far, so good.
Today’s workout: sunburn, for time.
I pr’d.
Laurel says
Walking into the gym last night was indescribable. Margie and company created precisely the event we were hoping for – we had thought about each piece of light, but I couldn’t quite imagine it all coming together and they did it so beautifully and with such creativity. It was lovely. Thank you.
Most particularly thank you to David for letting us take over the gym and thank you to Margie for being our planner extraordinaire, to Charmel for his music and general charm, to Brian for providing that array of fantastic tequilas and helping us purchase our alcohol, to Joe, Sarah and Matt for their specialty cocktails and bar tending and to the generous group who came in ahead of time to set things up and tape together all of those LED lights for my lanterns. You all made a gorgeous event and guest after guest came up to say it was the best wedding party they’d attended… the space was so enticing that we had several party crashers (mostly charming) and a number of people inquiring if we were a new club.
Thank you to all for coming to our wedding party and for the generous gifts that amassed by the door. I hope you had a wonderful evening – we certainly did. (Who knew that Nick Klagge was a limbo-master?)
Our family and non-CFSBK friends kept coming up to me all night to comment on what a kind and warm group of people you are.
We feel so lucky to be a part of this community.
