Hey David. I’m volunteering to be a judge at the Fall Face Off at Albany CrossFit. I would love to compete but I’m not quite there yet. I have a Zip Car if people would like to carpool.

Much respect to all Iron Persons. That sounds brutally difficult!

Er, sorry, that was me posting, not Noor!

Quick question to all and tri-athletes out there: how long (and how) did you train before your first? (I’m guessing the Iron Man training schedule is very different)

I have no idea what to bring to the potluck. Can someone suggest a pre-made item for me to bring? Can I bring gluten-free beer or cups or something? Help!

AJ – How about a pre-made vegetable side or salad, or a some non-alcohlic bev like seltzer?

Samir – Shame on you…dressing in your wife’s online clothing.

People looking for something to bring to the potluck – here’s a request:

    PLAINTAIN CHIPS

I am going to make guacamole again, and would love it if someone could pick up some plaintain chips (they are a great substitute for tortilla chips.) They usually come in slightly smaller bags than regular chips (so buy a couple) and are easy to find in bodegas, etc around the box (or any Spanish Caribbean neighborhood.)

If you are going to do this, please post here so I don’t get them as well.

    Thank you!!!

Congrats to our BTC athletes for some pretty impressive times! Maybe one day I’ll join you all…

    And big congrats to Gabrus!

    CONGRATULATIONS GABRUS!!!!!!!!!

You owe me an engagement story as compensation for missing the event.

Congrats Gabrus!!! (you are the fiancé, though. You *have* a fiancée.) unless Tiffany is a dude, of course.

Hellacious encounter with Fran this eve. Went into it really thinking I could a) beat my time of 7:54 from this spring; and b) break 7:30. Not this day. 8:55. Ugh. Thanks to Margie for the coaching/counting, to Dave & Malcolm for yelling, and to Katie & Noah for the technique tips. Oh, and to Paulie for the caffeine, without which I surely would not have gotten that last pullup. Closest I’ve been to tears at SBK.

I take comfort in the fact that I still feel like crap 5 hrs later.

Christine RXed 13:10. Not ready to cycle those tall box jumps yet. Otherwise steady and unbroken.

Gabrus, thats the best excuse ever!

Christine was a race support volunteer at Lake Placid and got her spot for next year. She is already nervous.
