I have a flight today and set the alarm for 620 so I could get to 7am before work.
Unfortunately, I went to bed at 330am after packing and cleaning the house, so even though I got up and got ready, it was a little too slow and I decided to just go back to sleep.
I’ll need to find a place to do this while Im in Cali, or just make it up when I get back next week.

We are probably going to work on an abbreviated schedule and run a 10am and 11am class on Sunday.
No 6AM/7AM classes on Monday. Noon and PM classes on as usual.

I’ll second Snip’s “Happy Anniversary” to our July ’09 Foundations crew! You guys rock. Mr. Matt R was also in our class (…plus 3 who aren’t around: Felipe, Melissa, and John)! On July 2 – our first class – we did tabata squats. Ah, memories.

Warmup:-droms, compass plank, dislocates-PVC press, push press, push jerk series
Press:(45×5, 55×5, 65×5)75×1.5, 70×1, 65x5x2-These were bleh. Last week I was able to do 70x5x3 but I think I made too big of a jump and psyched myself out. Oh well.
WOD: 5 rounds plus 10 bj’s @85lbs.-This was pure misery considering I haven’t really done any metcon’s in 2 weeks. I guess the daily serving of full fat ice cream didn’t help either. 😉

AMRAP 20 min = 6 rds + 12 box jumps. Felt good on this one except when I clocked myself in the chin on one of the jerks (ugh!). Rest of the sets were unbroken. Jerks made a lot more sense after Margie’s cues on Sunday about how to rack it.

Press was 105×3, 115×3, 120×3. Really happy about this as 120×3 ties an old PR from when I weighed 10 pounds more.
Wod with 115. 4 rounds + 21 box jumps, 15 deadlifts and 7 jerks.
Really great to have the Foxes back in the gym (Yes I know that is not how I am supposed to pluralize it).

amrap wod @ 65lbs: 5 rounds, 21 box jumps and 1 deadlift
I realized doing this wod that I’d never really given much thought to technique on the box jump other than jumping on and off. I was struggling to jump off in an optimal way that didn’t stress my knees. Any tips on how to land on the ground with “give” and jump back up from same position? Or not take that extra step backwards on landing? I felt very inefficient. But in general it was nice to finish a deadlift wod w/o losing my shit.

it is REALLY TOUGH for me to get a grip and compose myself for the OHS after getting the heart rate up. this was only 6 minutes but real tough.
then did a 500m row1:44.4
