Unbreakable.
On Wednesday afternoon, David was involved in car/bike accident and sustained a broken collar bone. Fortunately David is otherwise doing fine and is resting at home with family. We all wish David a speedy and full recovery.
Note: All group classes will continue running as normal and we will maintain our full schedule in David's absence.
Post well-wishes to comments.

Team!!!
Thank you So much for all the kind words! It was a wonderful surprise to wake up to all this. I’m doing okay, heavily medicated right now which makes a hugggeeee difference.
I was riding in the left side bike lane on degraw, going to the gym when a car on my right made a sudden left turn into a parking spot. It cut me off but we both breaked in time not to make contact with each other. The sudden stop threw me over the handle bars and I landed on my left shoulder, I was wearing my bike chain over that arm so when i hit the floor my chain and clavicle were the first to make contact. It snapped right in half. Owie. The driver stopped and called an ambulance and they took me to methodist.
coincidentally, the driver is the owner of Sheeps Station so he knew who i was, also coincidentally, a woman who saw the accident and brought me ice was someone who had rsvp’d to come to teaser class on saturday.
so ive got a butterfly fracture in my left clavicle, theres about an inch and a half separation between the broken ends in the middle. Doc says i probably wont be able to use it for 3+ months. I still need to see an ortho to see if ill need surgery or not.
I was very very very very lucky considering I was NOT wearing a helmet. I’ve learned my lesson on that…
Sam has been taking great care of me so i’m in really good hands right now. My roomate Mike is a medical student too so hes been helping out a lot as well. My mom also came by yesterday and today to take me home from the hospital and set me up at home. Thanks for all the offers to come help! Id like to get off pain killers asap but right now the difference without them is night and day.
Ill keep you all updated with my progress and hope to be back coaching asap.
If you’d like to do something for me please work on your handstands and mobility!!!
alek says
Get well soon David.
