Those blocks are beautiful. Reminds me what an awesome place we have. I got a chance to visit Crossfit Long Beach and no knock on them–but our space is much bigger, we have so much more equipment, and our class times are much more flexible.
Aside from that we have pretty good coaches and some decent people in our classes.

BTW anyone have a Park Slope Parents Group membership? That would be great place to post/promote the Crossfit Kids and Teens class.
I used to be a member but they put in some dues and we never got around to rejoining.
Im going to post about the kids class on my local (Lefferts gardens) listserv.
Paulie T-Shirts says
@Dan, those are the plans (with a few modifications) that we used for our blocks!

Some impressive new acquisitions there.
Also, there are a few el-cheapo weightlifting shoes available here:

Very few sizes remain, but check it out in case anything available suits you.

Hey Shawn,
Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll see what I can do about getting into the Park Slope Parents group. We’re working hard on getting CF Kids up and running and we’re very exited about the kick-off next Saturday. Spread the word my pretties. Spread the word.
Last night’s WOD was a fun one you were right Laurel. Made me long for the days of yore. Damn fine work on the cleans all around.
OHS tomorrow! Come on down, I guarantee it’ll be as much fun as you can have with a barbell over your head.

I love Open Gym.
Made up my deadlifts today.
Wu: 135×3, 165×3, 215×3, 235x3Sets accross at 240.
After my 1st set at 235, I didnt know if id get sets across. The weight felt heavy and didnt seem like I was doing the lift 100% right. I was doing a lot of pulling and too vertical.
Luckily for me Paulie Tshirts came along and coached me into good form. I was basically too vertical, he had me get my scaps over the bar, open my feet up 30 degrees, and that made all the difference.
240 suddenly felt a lot lighter. This was a good 1st exposure and I look forward to impriving the next few weeks.
I was thinking about doing a metcon with Samir, but decided that after only getting 3.5 hours of sleep last night, id take it easy.
