Came in this morning for tomorrow’s WOD and I have to say, if I can keep it up, early morning WODs might be my new best friend. It’s a great antedote to that “I want to beat the life out of everyone” feeling I’ve had for the last week.
Warm up3 rounds: 10 OHS, 10 push-ups, 1′ plank
WOD: Front Squats40x560x570x580x3100x3x5

Anne I know what you mean! I thought it would make me tired but instead it gives me clarity, confidence and energy right out of the gate. Especially if we start with tough physical stuff I can nail early attempts, keeping the pressure off and my team looking good!

I read the title of that article and I figured it meant war was a good technique to preserve the human species. Curious, I thought.
Then it turned out that war was a good technique to preserve species that humans kill. wtf. well duh. let’s just kill all the humans and return to a state of nature.

Open gym party.
Rowed 5k in 20:15.6.Kept the pace between 2:00-2:05 for the first four thousand meters, dropped to 1:55-2:00 for 4000-4750, and then sub-1:50 the rest of the way home. I think I could do the whole think in the 1:55-2:00 range.
The breakdown:Time Meters /500m s/m20:15.6 5000 2:01.5 204:12.3 1000 2:06.1 204:04.1 2000 2:02.0 194:05.2 3000 2:02.6 203:49.6 5000 1:54.8 22
See y’all Sunday.

Have a great time at your competitions Steph, Mike, Yoon and Nicole!
Good work on jerks tonight during open gym. Improvement all around!

I like open gym.
Margie gave me some great tips on push jerk and I felt really comfortable getting the weight up.This week I got up to 125.125x3x5Bringing the weight down was another story. I tried a few different techniques including David’s but couldnt get it right. I think I ended up straining my elbow slightly really muscling the weight down. It could be a combination of that and the fact I’ve been doing more pullups and pushups lately so my elbow is tender.
Did the 2000m row (option b). Accuracy opn the rower is tough. I didnt really get tired till the last 300m though
