Did today’s GL WODCompleted all 15 rounds. Expected it to be not too challenging but a nice little back off work-out.
Just used a yoga mat and no abmat or towel. Tried to do the sit-ups righteous by keeping my hands at my shoulders but was unable to past 8 rounds. hello abs
To scale this up, you could do 8/16 or sub HSPUs

Did this WOD in my work gym on a rubber matting floor – the push-ups never gave me trouble but the sit-ups got difficult around round 11. I kept holding onto my shoulders but kept kind of throwing my elbows forward and had to work hard to get nice and tall at the top.
Hoping to lift something heavy this evening. Haven’t decided what.
Saw Avatar yesterday and (SPOILER ALERT) was pleased that the female character had beautiful lats, saved her man repeatedly and killed the big bad character at the end. Very nice. The visuals were lush and fairly captivating, the story pretty predictable… over all though, lots of fun, although the 3-D glasses left my head feeling a bit peculiar.

Ran about 2.3 miles. The whole “run around your block 5 times” was going to turn into running 1.5 miles so I just kind of ran around Ft. Greene until I got the most incredible side cramp and decided it was time to run home (hence the odd mileage). Was a great night to run outdoors though, I actually OVER-layered.. there’s a first time for everything. Did the push-up/sit-up thingy.
Spent the last two days in a sugar/wheat-detox “depression” and am happy to be feeling somewhat normal. I had no idea that cutting certain things out of my diet would have such a strong effect on my mood. It’s quite amazing.

@Tam, all the notebooks did get moved. They’re in the bottom of whatever container thing they were in to start with covered with lots of other crap that I piled on top of them/packed around them/etc.

Did the at home wod. Was planning on going over the the normal gym around the corner to lift, but then was feeling blah and didn’t want to move. I think my taco binges were giving me a bit more carbs than I realized as I had thought this would be only a minor change. Instead I feel like I have changed dramatically and am now staring at the world from the bottom of a fish bowl.
On the pushup situp wod. All rounds in less than 30 seconds. Never really felt the pushups, but definitely felt the situps by the end.

Did a few laps around the block and then the WOD. I struggled with this “nice little back off” workout; feeling very weak. Had to switch to mod pushups almost immediately, and had to give the situps momentum after about 8 rounds. Ugh.
So…when is it that I start feeling like a cavewoman/she-beast?

“Math-Boy” Chris J. forgot that 0 to 1:00 was a minute, so we ended up doing 16 minutes.I had to cut down to 5 situps after 7 minutes and go to my knees for the last 3 minutes of pushups.It felt good to work out some of the kinks from Sunday.

I ran 3 x up the hill on the north side of the park this morning. It was a nasty morning to run. Very cold and I felt stiff as all get-out. It went like this:

I don’t know if I just measured it differently or what, but I was thinking, as I looked at my watch, that this was far slower than I had run them the last time I recorded the time–before starting crossfit. Turns out it’s over a minute *faster*. I’m still a little skeptical about this.
Did the other stuff this evening. The push-ups were harder. All doable, but I think I I’m still a little creaky from Sunday’s burpee festival.
BTW: What’s the opposite of my goat?

Worked out at the Globo with Ruvin.Warmup-5 min on the ergDeadlift-5×3 275# sets acrossDid the little push up/sit up burner, felt good, of course the last 2 sets of sit ups felt hard. We got some pretty strange looks. I think it’s the intensity and scrambling to get through each minute that attracted attention, as well as the 3,2,1 count at the start of each round. But it’s all good-I miss all my CSB friends.

I played capoeira tonight from 8-9:30. The class starts with stupid stretches, but then is pretty active and intense for a solid hour, with water breaks, etc. I definitely feel like my core strength is much improved from pre-Linus, pre-Crossfit days. WOOT.

I more or less agree with Laurel regarding Avatar, however I think it could have been about 1/2 an hour shorter. It was interesting to watch but the story was pretty flat and predictable. Speaking of female heroines, Alien 2 (Aliens) is on AMC right now. (Im house sitting)

I am a math genius and remembered the workout incorrectly at the gym, so I ended up doing 15 situps in each round instead of 10…definitely felt it, but still do-able.

today i took a walk on the beach and then climbed up the hill to my friend’s gazebo where i scared away a bunch of goats.
then i did the pushup/situp wod, 15 minutes.
