Are you kidding me with that video? Obviously they are part of a Russian genetic engineering program.
David – Does the FGBelated have to actually be belated? Could we do it maybe before? Just a thought.
It’s too bad Katie can’t see some of the evening classes as well, but welcome.
Ashley – Safe travels!
Jeremy and Margie – Have fun on the farm.
Sameer Parekh says
i am in for climbing tonight.

Laurel says
Do any of you know about adult swimming classes for someone who has not been taught to swim?
I found the total immersion swimming people, but their workshops require a basic ability to swim.

I saw this article in the Sunday NY Times and thought it might post-worthy. It’s about the increased interest in running barefoot or with something like the Vibram FiveFingers and the ongoing debate about the benefits/risks of working out with high-tech vs. barely-there shoes. It’s a business article so it focuses on how different manufacturers are trying to navigate the market.

Surfing? I’ve always wanted to learn! (that’s the reason I’ve never watched Jaws) I can’t make it this Friday but I’d like to ask you more about it next class.
The only website I visit with any regularity is Gawker, for my NY media gossip fix…

I’ve fallen a little behind on my reading list, but since I’m out of town so much I like to read Gothamist for the local stuff. For the geek in me, iPhone Hacks. And I get a little brain candy from http://www.zefrank.com

I am in for getting vertical tonight!
See you guys at 7pm.
Also – I have a very good Black Diamond X harness that I have out grown. Leg loops don’t fit anymore thanks to David and all those damn squats. Anyone out there interested in it?
Chris Fox says
Brian,
If the boulder bug bites me tonight I’d love to have the harness.
Brian says
I will bring it along.
Also – the cirque video looks like a typical night at Malcolm and Laurel’s house.

I need new websites!!
I’ll be at the lyceum doing privates from 7-9 so won’t be around for climbing. Yeah Tamson!!!!
Also, I’ve been sleeping on this extremely dense foam, kinda feels like sleeping on a slightly more forgiving floor. So so so so so so great.
Tamson says
websites: I read Glenn Greenwald pretty regularly, not daily, though. Sometimes Huffington Post and TPM. I also read PW Daily and Publishers Lunch Marketplace for work. And some other stuff at random, not with any kind of habit.
Laurel: There’s a program called Camp Olympia that, I believe, might have some adult instruction as well. campolympia.com They teach at John Jay High School on 7th Ave. The Y definitely has swimming instruction for non-swimming adults.
