We've got one odd man out who needs 4 teammates for a 10th and Final Team. Who's gonna join the Warrior, Jacinto Bonilla on FGB Team 10??
David says
Regarding Fight Gone Belated
I’ve heard from a lot of you guys but only David Mak has registered. Cloyde, Andy, Jack and a few others have said you want to be on the team.
First we need you guys to register, then email me saying you want to be on the FGBelated team and then we will work out scheduling conflicts and make a day of it.
Joe says
Team 9!
Jenna says
Ooooh me!!! I registered even. (now that i know i am officially here that weekend)

Since this is Press day, I might as well ask: does anyone have recommendations on a good shoulder ice pack/wrap for post-workout soreness?
Laurel says
Dan’s ice pack seems good. Ours is just a jell pack plus kitchen towel…
P$ says
Hey CFSBK, wut up?
I’m in to help count reps on the 26th. Sign me up.
Matt U. says
Blecchhhh Press today… but YAY TEAM 9!!! We got Charlotte suckas!
Dan Rx'd says
Thanks Laurel — it is a kick ass ice pack! But the best thing I can recommend is dixie cups filled with water.
Allow them to freeze, then tear off a portion of the paper and rub on the injured area. Works like a charm!
gabrus says
some sprinting on president, still can’t get my hamstring to stop hurting.
then the posted warm up, lunges with canvas sandbag

this is an ice pack for baseball pitchers. works great!
Took the day off due to soreness in my shoulder. muscle strains stink.

Training out at Front Range CrossFit
WOD:5 rounds for time of:
5 squat cleans, 155 lbs150 meter run
6:33The lack of oxygen in the air made this WOD a tough one. A couple of guys scaled all the way up 205 for the WOD.
cloyde says
since i missed deadlifting on monday i came in early to get them in. thanks to david for letting me.
WOD#1: deadlift: 135*5, 165*5 warmup205*3, 215*3, 255*3, 265*3, 275f, 265*2 (horrible form)
my inability to count struck again and when i thought i was doing 225 i was actually doing 255, weight felt super heavy but i did them so i went ahead to 265. the set at 275 was horrible didnt even move the bar. after that i think i was done next set at 265 was horrible.
WOD#2: press: 45*5 65*3 warmup70*3, 75*3, 80*3, 85*3, 90*3 (bad form) 90*2
felt a lot better than the last time when i rushed through them. nice working out with samir and christian.
after wards did some muscle up practice with david, close but no cigar unfortunately. add it to the list of things that need a lot more work. all in all a good day.
Joe says
Did the group warmup with a 1 pood kettlebell. Probably could have done more…
Press:Warmups: 65×10 65×3 85x5WOD: 85×3 95×4 115f (I push pressed it up once, but strict press was no go) 105:3 95:5 95:5
Muscle-up practice with the group afterwards.

Warm up with the sandbag.Press:Warmups: 45×5, 75x595x3, 105×3, 115×3, 125×1, 125x1I probably should have dropped down to 120 for the last set but I was stubborn. Great lifting with Bjorn and Tushar!Muscle up practice was enjoyable, thanks David McG for the assists.
Laurel says
Warm-up with 15lb db – I’m bad at lunges. First sets of pull-ups were C2B, but last set was all just chin over.

Was late to class, jumped in and worked with Malcolm and Alex — thanks!
(95×8) 105×3, 115×3, 120×3, 125x2Ran out of time for the final set. Still seeing an imbalance in the left shoulder. Little by little I’m training it out.
Then went on to do strict muscle ups.
Got 2 consecutive strict muscle ups, woot!! Guess my busted shoulder isn’t so bust any more.
Then went on do to three total rounds of 2 consecutive muscle-ups. Just couldn’t get that third one!
Very weak on the dips, so focused on them and did box assisted deep ring dips: 8-5-3 *Brutal* just brutal.
Shoulder feels fine, but was good to not push it much harder. All things in time…
And Yay CrossFit Kids, welcome home Shane!
Malcolm says
Warm up really beat me up. Was feeling pretty rough and low energy. But press turned out well. 95, 105, 115, 120 (PR), 122×1. Old one rep max was 120, so this was a very satisfying lift.
Then did muscle-up practice. I feel like it is almost there for the strict muscle up.

AMRAP 12 minutes5 rock squat clean10 pushupsrun up small hill and back
6 rounds
raft down 100 river miles6.5 days
plus some muscle ups ring dips and skin the cats thrown in on a couple days.
looking forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow.

Laurel, Dan, Brian: Thanks for the recommendations. I’ve been improvising at home but I thought a real pack/wrap might work better so that I could keep it on while I worked/read etc.
Thanks to Joe and Matt for spots on the strict CTB pullups.
Good fun lifting with Christian and Cloyde: WU = 45, 65 and then 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100.
Afterwards tried getting started on muscle-ups. Thanks to Ben and David McG for tips/assists.

You see, Erica and I’ve been hunting for a bedroom set for our 3 munchkins since the beginning of summer…waiting for sales, debating on whether or not to tap into our EF, even easdfntertaining the thought of inflatable mattresses for the rest of their young lives, etc.
