Just replace shooting with hitting balls in the batting cage. We could pretest our accuracy fresh and then throw it into the end of a WOD and see how you do against the same number of pitches at the same speed and trajectory.

Today’s an odd day. No seriously…
“Prepare to be awed by Odd Day. For the mathematically challenged, Thursday’s date, 5/7/09, is one of only six this century that will feature three consecutive odd numbers.”
AMRAP 12m, DL/Pull as Rx’d (DL scaled up 5#)DL 225
10 Rounds plus 3 Deadlifts
Broke up the pull-ups to 3’s and 2’s after the third round to spare my hands. Worked well.
Also,I’ve been gradually increasing the number of ring dips in my warm-up, this is the first time that doing two sets of 10 strict ring dips is no where near taxing.Week 1 3x5week 2 3x7week 3 2x9week 4 2×10
I’ve kept the volume consistent but increased the total number completed in a set
was debating scaling down and decided not to. a lot of my thrusters were for shite, got to practice those.a fun WOD.

7:30 as rx’d. felt great to be back after two weeks off. enjoyed the recent egg article margie wrote a lot! egypt is a pretty carb-tastic country from a culinary perspective, but have been eating very clean since we got back. tonight we had okra w/onions and garlic, eggs, and a plantain for dessert.

10lb db, 25 inch box jump. Using light weight for my shoulder, but ended up changing from thrusters to squat jumps after 15 thrusters. 7:20.
Post-WOD play-time, worked up to 41 inch box jump – I think that’s fourteen little black mats stacked on the folded ones we were using as box-jump stations. Terrific fun – especially watching Jeremy float.

28″ seemed kind of high, but I probably should have gone for it. Thrusters weren’t the greatest, gotta work on those.

David M — how were the thrusters? You may have wanted to go lighter (65lbs) so you can go faster. Then step it up in weight slowly while trying to maintain your speed.
David Mak...says
Dan — probably a good idea, I have to try to get out of my ego. The thrusters felt great for the first 15 or so and then I started to lose it in the legs; Couldn’t get a good boost and ended up muscling it up which stressed my shoulders and started screwing my form. At that point I felt gassed and had a hard time with the cardio.

The “controller gone bad” video is pretty cool. I am gonna have to try that.
Dan R says
Agreed — but I think the scoring with the firearms should depend on the accuracy.
Rob, this sounds like a great “Beyond the Box” opportunity…
Sameer Parekh says
yeah we should totally add shooting to our wods.

We could set something similar in house:
Just replace shooting with hitting balls in the batting cage. We could pretest our accuracy fresh and then throw it into the end of a WOD and see how you do against the same number of pitches at the same speed and trajectory.
