This was a tough one. I scaled back to 85 lbs because I wasn’t feeling the thrusters today. 13:30. Getting home after 5 last night probably didn’t help.
Warm-Up:Some light Droms, nervous pee break, and 10 pull-ups
THR/BRPE WODCan’t rack a Barbell thruster because of my wrist yet so I used 40# DB’s and did burpees on my knuckles.
8:45Thanks Jeremy for staying after and keeping me on point.
DB thrusters are very hard in a different way than Barbell thrusters. Props to Leo for taking on the 45#s.Also much respect to all the L1 folks who put up a hard fight today, especially Bjorn and Peter.
8:04 as Rx’d. Thrusters were way harder than I thought they would be.

Thanks David, did feel like a fight, heavy legs from yesterday’s Prospect Park Du.
18:25 as rx’d.
My first WOD ever without any scaling/modification. Thanks everyone for helping me through it, especially Asta and Leo.
Burpee Challenge day 35, planks and pushups are feeling a lot easier.

9:07 as rx’d, this one was much harder than I thought it was going to be. great class today though, I def feel like the warmup helped me maintain a better form.

I second David – fantastic fight from Bjorn and Peter.
L1 kicked ass all around.

I had a feeling this was going to suck when I read it this morning, watching level 1 confirmed it, and doing the WoD just brought it to a whole new level.
7:51 with 35lbs dumbbells.
The second round of thrusters was exceptionally difficult after doing the first round of thrusters and burpees non-stop.
Left arm ran out of gas by the start of the 4th round — definitely have some strength imbalances to work on.
Did a 5th round a little later with the 95lbs bar — felt entirely different. Right arm is compensating tremendously for the limitations of my left.
Will continue working with DB’s for the time being until I can overcome the imbalance.
Am almost done with the burpee madness, will look forward to a muscle up challenge next.
End of line.

Used 30lb. DB’s for the 1st round, scaled back to 20’s the next 3. Burpees kicked my butt. Went home, ate some cookies and milk, felt like much more fun than the WOD
this was one of the hardest workouts for me so far. it’s the only time ive ever thought i might get sick and i think recovery took the entire rest of the day.
