Not so happy about that. I just can’t seem to find a good rack position. Been playing around with some tips from Kelly, which feel good at lighter weight, but didn’t seem quite right as I started nearing my limit.
Then I played with some power and muscle snatches.

And a shout out to Shane for holding down the fort and doing a rocking job at it too.
I missed class on Sunday, so made up those hang power cleans today: 135, 145, 155, 165, and 175.
Followed by some awesome snatch practice.
Then front squats: 225, 235, 245(pr), 250(pr), 251(f) — which was really cool as it’s over 1.5 times my body weight. This number is really close to my prior back squat PR, so I’d be interested in seeing what my back squat is like at this point. Needless to say, I’m pretty damn stoked.
Would love to be able to do a full squat clean at 250lbs. Now if I could only jerk that kind of weight…
And I couldn’t resist doing Barbara today.

Pullups were OK — did them in batches of 5.Pushups were really hard for some reason — had to do them in sets of 5, and in some cases sets of 2’s and 3’s.Situps were pretty good, did those in sets of 10.Air Squats were S-L-O-W; I blame the front squats.

Kept my weight conservative (no fun on single reps) because my elbows (lats) and hamstrings are too tight. Thanks for the tips, Margie. I need to stretch more!

Hit a wall after third round, felt really nauseous, but felt good to push through it. Pushups and situps were the hardest.

30-20-10 Burpees, Box Jumps, Knee To elbows is an old school SBK WOD. We’ve done it 4 times now. perhaps a name is in order.
