We offer one-to-one physical therapy and private rehab sessions that are customized to you and your goals.
Whether you’re dealing with an injury, managing chronic pain, or looking to improve your movement and mobility, we are Doctors of Physical Therapy who can bridge the gap between rehab and performance.
PHYSICAL THERAPY
These are one-on-one 60 minute sessions designed to identify limitations, restore movement, and create a clear plan for your training and recovery.
Physical Therapy starts with an Initial Evaluation that helps us understand your strengths, limitations, and goals. It includes a full body movement assessment. After that we make a plan together to help you move forward and reach your goals.
Follow up Sessions: These vary from person to person, as we don’t answer to insurance. These sessions will give you tools to move confidently forward in training and life. Sessions may include:
- Full body movement assessment, including passive and active evaluations
- Hands-on treatment to address mobility restrictions, tissue irritation, or muscular imbalances
- Modifications or scaling strategies for your group classes or current exercise routine

COACH AVERY
After 18 years of working in the fitness industry, I’ve seen a persistent gap between “finishing” physical therapy and getting back to activities people love doing. In part, my own experiences as a patient in traditional, insurance-based physical therapy settings and also working with personal training clients who were frustrated by their rehab, highlighted that disconnect. This gap is what led me to become a physical therapist.
Outside of CFSBK, I work in an outpatient setting utilizing hippotherapy, an evidence-based approach that uses the movement of a horse to engage neuromotor, cognitive, and sensory systems in children and adults with physical and neurological disabilities. I’ve also completed a residency at Mount Sinai hospital specializing in Neurologic Physical Therapy, gaining experience with adults and children with conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, brain injury, and orthopedic injuries.
My clinical interests include working with CrossFitters, Olympic weightlifters, those managing chronic pain, as well as making fitness more accessible for older adults and individuals with neurologic diagnoses. I emphasize education and self-efficacy and believe successful rehabilitation is a collaborative process. Above all, I’m passionate about making movement and exercise accessible to everyone, regardless of where they’re starting—or where they want to go.

COACH KATIE

Katie brings a collection of experiences to the table, combining 11 years on the coaching floor, 10 years in the clinic, as well as 10 years programming online one-on-one for injury and performance clients. An athlete herself, Katie understands the considerable amount of hard work it takes to reach big goals, as well as the psychological toll an injury can take. If there is one major lesson that Katie has learned over the years, it is that with proper guidance through the rehabilitation process, one does not need to put their life on hold due to an injury.
Her area of expertise ranges anywhere from the weekend warrior, to Regionals/Games level CrossFitters, Pro Strongman athletes, competitive powerlifters/weightlifters, and adaptive athletes. All in all, Katie is excited to have found the best of both worlds, where she is able to help people of all ages and abilities bridge the gap between rehabilitation and lifelong wellness/fitness.
