Oh Yoon - you should definitely come by on a Sunday! Just give us fair warning and we'll make sure the squat racks are out and barbells loaded.

No burpees, promise.

But what about some double-unders....

this is for all you bacon lovers...

June 18, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterjohn c
Ahahah!!! John that's incredible! Can we hang it next to the CFSBK flag?

Zak - class tonight is on. Jacinto will be our taskmaster.
June 18, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMargie
anyone know if we are doing yesterday's wod tonight? reason I ask is I did it yesterday, and am probably not up for a repeat performance :).
June 18, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterpaul
david we definitely miss you!

yesterday's workout was an easy 1k swim and then some major stretching. my quads have been really tight.

breakfast - eggs, BACON (then saw john's pic - AMAZING!), black coffee, and some magic green drink of my very own...
June 18, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterstephanie
I love bacon don't get me wrong but i find that actually rather disgusting. though i'm also probably the only one here who has experienced that much raw pork up close and personal.

*Sigh* I'm still a few weeks away from my 'comeback.'

My employment situation should be clear by next week.

I am one pant size larger and champing at the bit.

Hey folks!

Think CFSB can get a team or two together for the Urbanathlon this year? Course we can! But we should move fast --- we tried at the BlackBox last year but registration filled up super-quick:

David - are you Colombian? I was in Cartagena last August for a bachelor party. Let's just say I'm still alive.

Did 3x deadlifts last night:

185, 225, 245, 265, 275 (x2) 285 (x1). 285 was a PR, which I'm pretty psyched about since I set a goal of 300 two months ago when I just learned them. That seems to be, hopefully, a foregone conclusion now.
June 18, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterChris H
Allan - that looks like so much fun! I think we should do it.
June 18, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMargie
another *sigh*

my brother is getting married on 9/27, so no urbanathlon for me. (there were women in it even though its a mens health event, right?)
June 18, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterstephanie
As far as I understand the rules women are allowed to enter the race, Stephanie.

I'm supposed to be in Las Vegas on that day, so I can't even cheer the SBK team. Anyway, you should give it a try folks. It'll be a lot of fun for sure.

My CF work out today:PowerCleans and Jerk 30@135Push Ups 30Pull Ups 30Thrusters 30@67(17:41 minutes)
June 18, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterAndy
I've been throwing around the idea of doing the Urbanathlon. I know a few people that did it last year and bunch that are doing it this year...Should be fun and painful!

Paul - I think Jacinto is writing up the workout for tonight.
June 18, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMichele
working towards doing Fran with the Mens weight. Need 21 thrusters unbroken.

I tried max 95# thrusters today without warming up

After doing about 150 presses last night I thought that was ok.

Lisa and I went on a really long run around a lake on a trail today. It wasn't so so bad but we walked a little on the way back. We're going to run 5 days a week.

Like Glassman say : Do what you suck at

I forgot ,the name of this wOD is the friday night fight.
June 18, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterjacinto
Hey guys...going to miss class tonight. Some behemoth stepped on my foot this morning on the train and I'm bruised & it's a bit painful. Naturally it's the foot i just had the stress fracture in. Was hoping to feel better by the end of the day but... I figure I should probably ice it down tonight...just my luck!
June 18, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMichele
I am intrigued by this urbanathalon thing.Unfortunately I am stuck in Watertown on a stupid project for about a week so I'm crossfitting on my own for awhile. Have fun without me.
June 18, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJeremy
My WOD: 21 presses & 21 back extensions, 4 rounds for time.Load: 45lbs, 45, 35, 35 for presses; had to switch to push press for all but first few reps. 45 was too heavy, thanks Margie for saving me with the 35. 35 lbs for all back extensions.Time: 19 minutes.

+ 50 situps
June 18, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterBethany
Michele -that sucks! It always goes like that, doesn't it? Hopefully it will feel better tomorrow.

WOD: Jacinto's Friday Night Fightsubbed 12kg kb swings for pushups because, well, just because.

So, the urbanathlon only allows teams of 3. Should we all throw our hats into the ring and then divide and conquer?! I'm down.
June 18, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMargie
24:20the sprawls and squats slowed me down. Even when doing push-ups, it was the tightness in the upper thighs that was making it difficult. I've got to work on that.

The urbanathlon looks like fun in theory, but running 8.1 miles and I just don't get along. I could blame it on the shins, but really, why even bother. I will, on the other hand, root for whoever does decide to give it a try.

Finally back from Colombia. Had to spend 12 hours in Miami International Airport due to delays and cancellations

"Time to Kill"10 Rounds for Time of:30 Squats30 Push-Ups~25:00 forgot to start my watch until the second round.

Did this WOD at the terminal, had a nice audience of about 300+ disgruntled & delayed American Airlines passengers. Lots of comments and staring. High volume push-ups are a "goat" of mine so i decided to do 300 of them.

Proof you can CROSSFIT ANYWHERE!!!

CrossFit Total

Back Squat: 245Shoulder Press: 140Deadlift: 330(PR)Total: 715

Felt like I could've done more on the squats but was scared of bailing with metal plates.

June 19, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterstephanie
Goodness it's HOT out here.

Spent the day at a waterpark today and yesterday in Glassmans pool.

Going for a run in a little bit with Lisa. It's not so bad running on trails. It's so pretty that it distracts me from the heat and the discomfort of running.

Think we're doing the total tonight but I want to do the OHS FS BS workout.

ZOneing HARD> everything I eat is being put in front of me. No cheating and no extra blocks. In fact Lauren dropped me from 11 to 10 blocks. I'm a little hungry but I'm adjusting
June 19, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterAllisonNYC
Looking great my son! you work very hard and even in dificult situations you keep going and going. I love your discipline!
